Men deflated by sex lives

ONLY 0.5 per cent of Chinese men are consistently satisfied with their sexual experiences and the amount of sex they are getting is "far less" than people enjoy in Western countries, according to a new survey.

The survey says that almost 70 per cent of Chinese men have sex between two and five times a month.

"The frequency for men in Western countries is between two and five times a week," said Zhang Yilan, an official from the Chinese Medical Development Research Council who was among the experts involved in the survey.

The research, which took five months to complete and involved 33,000 men, was conducted jointly by the council and Beijing Dawn Hospital. It included an online questionnaire, Beijing-based street interviews and analysis of hospital records.

The findings were released earlier this week. Ms Zhang said the survey set 100 as the maximum for satisfaction from sex.

"Seventy percent of men rated their satisfaction under 60. If we take 60 as a pass score, it means that 70 per cent of men failed. I was surprised by that," she said.

Saiful’s rectum was empty, doctor tells court

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 28 — Surgeon Razali Ibrahim, who had examined Saiful Bukhary Azlan for signs of sodomy, told the High Court today he found the complainant’s rectum “empty”.

“The rectum was empty,” the former Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) doctor replied under cross-examination from Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s defence lawyer Sankara Nair.

Razali also testified the anal probe he carried out on June 28, 2008 was not the first clinical check done on Saiful.

Razali, now with Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (HUKM), admitted under Sankara’s persistent questioning that it was not easy to carry out the proctoscopy examination on Saiful, even with the use of a lubricant.

Any sudden introduction of any instrument into the anus would likely cause injury to the sensitive body part, Razali said.

Saiful, a former male aide to the opposition leader, had accused Anwar of sodomising him in an upscale condominium in leafy Damansara Heights here on June 26, 2008.

Then 23, he had visited Hospital Pusrawi, a private medical centre here, for a check-up after complaining of pain in his anus before being referred to HKL two days later.

A medical report from Pusrawi, leaked to the media last year, revealed the large-eyed and slender youth as claiming he had not passed motion since being sodomised.

Tennis coach molested student

A FREELANCE table tennis coach was jailed for six months on Thursday for molesting a 15-year-old student on a bus.

Lim Wai Sin, 50, who suffered from a psychiatric disorder, had admitted to two counts of touching the breast of the victim on the SBSTransit bus travelling along Bedok Reservoir Road and Hougang Central on Oct 28 last year.

The court heard that he boarded the bus at Bedok Bus Interchange and sat next to the victim who moved closer towards the window to give him space in view of his large size.

However, Lim also moved inwards and closer towards her.

During the journey, she felt him touch the right side of her breast with his fingers twice within 20 minutes. On the second occasion, she confronted him and told him to stop.

He then got up and pressed the bell before moving to an empty seat on the opposite side of the bus. The victim told the bus driver to detain Lim as he had molested her.

Two other similar charges were taken into consideration.

Lim, who has two previous convictions, could have been jailed for up to two years and/or fined on each charge.

Student commits suicide after months of gang rape

A 21-year-old MBA student in Patna, India, committed suicide after being subjected to months of sexual abuse by her spurned lover and his friends.

The student, identified only as Arya, was found hanged from the ceiling fan in her apartment.

She left behind a handwritten suicide note, in which she named her "tormentors" and hoped that they would be punished, the Times of India reported Tuesday.

"Copies of my suicide note should be sent to the President, Prime Minister and state chief minister. My tormentors belong to influential families and they can use their influence to save their skin."

"If you fail to do justice to my soul, at least provide protection to my father, mother and brother and do not harass them," the four-page note read.

The names of Arya’s alleged rapists were revealed as Praveen Kumar, Pushkar, Harsh Ranjan and Jyoti Ranjan.

Giving the vivid details of her torture in the note, Arya alleged that Vinit, Pushkar and Harsh raped her regularly.

She wrote that they even made an obscene video of her after threatening to implicate her family members in false cases if she did not cooperate for the shoot, the newspaper report said.

Urging the police to send her body to a medical examination, Arya wrote in her suicide note, "As late as Oct 20, they forced themselves on me; the marks of beating can be seen on my left hand and ear."

Fined for upskirt filming

AN ENGINEER was fined $4,000 on Wednesday for filming the undergarments of a shopper at the Kinokuniya Book Store at Bugis Junction in May 2008.

A district court heard that the 31-year-old woman was reading a book there when she noticed Chong Kim Hong, 28, squatting near her and using the camera on his cell phone to film up her skirt. She told her boyfriend and police were called in.

Defence counsel Josephus Tan said Chong was suffering from emotional stress that caused him to commit the offence.

For insulting the modesty of a woman, Chong could be fined up to $10,000 and/or jailed up to a year.

Girl, 12, falls to her death after sex with three teens

A TWELVE-YEAR-OLD girl fell to her death after she was caught having sex with three teenagers on the roof of the Lestari Apartment, Damansara Damai in Petaling Jaya on Sunday, reported Kosmo!.

The daily quoted a resident, who declined to be identified, as saying that the girl had been spotted going up to the rooftop of the building many times with a few teenage boys.

"In order to find out what they had been doing, a group of us sneaked up on them and were shocked to see the girl having sex with three teenage boys.


"They tried to run away when we showed up.

"The victim, who tried to escape by climbing down a wall fell to the ground," said the resident.

Another resident Mohd Zakaria Hamzah, 37, said a few used condoms, a bra and an underwear were found on the sixth floor of the building.

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Arjunaidi Mohamed said one of the teenagers had been detained while the police were still trying to locate the other two boys.

26 years, 24 strokes for rape

UNDER the pretext of teaching her about sex so she would not be cheated by men in the future, an operations supervisor had sex with his girlfriend's daughter and gave her a sexually transmitted disease.

Only after the victim, then aged 14, attended sex education classes last year and found out about sex, masturbation and condoms, did she realise that what he did to her was wrong.

She told her mother and on Tuesday, the 43-year-old man was sentenced to a total of 26 years in jail and 24 strokes of the cane in the High Court.

He had pleaded guilty to raping her on four occasions. Seven other similar offences were taken into consideration by Justice Steven Chong.

The man cannot be named to protect the victim's identity.

The court heard that the bachelor was in a relationship with the girl's mother. The 37-year-old divorcee then moved into his flat with her daughter and son in 2005.

As she was afraid of the dark, she would sleep with the man and her mother. Sometime after she turned 12 in 2007, he touched her private parts as she lay between him and her mother.

When they were both alone in the flat some months later, he tried to have sex with the primary six student but stopped when she complained of pain.

She told police she did not tell anyone then because she did not know what he did was wrong. The next time in the same year, he went all the way wearing a condom.

How the ugly secret was exposed

In late 2008, the mother moved to a rented flat in Boon Lay to be closer to her new office in Jurong. She did not visit the man and their relationship ended. She continued to trust him and the girl stayed on in his flat as it was nearer to her school, only joining her mother on weekends and during the school holidays.

In August last year, the daughter also moved to Boon Lay but would return to his flat to use his computer or collect her belongings. On one such occasion, he had sex with her. She was then aged 14.

On her return from his flat on Oct 5 last year, her mother questioned her and the ugly secret was revealed.

Confronted by the woman the next day, the man confessed and surrendered to the police.
