A STOREMAN was jailed for three years on Friday for molesting three teenage girls between September and October 2010.
Toh Boon Cheong, 50, was found unsuitable for preventive detention as he was suffering from schizophrenia.
He had earlier admitted to molesting the three victims, aged 13 to 15, in Chua Chu Kang.
The first incident happened on Sept 3 when a 13-year-old girl was on the MRT train with her friend. Toh pressed himself against her hip area when the train was heading towards Yew Tee station. She subsequently reported the incident to her teacher.
On Sept 28, a 15-year-old girl was walking along the walkway with her two classmates at Choa Chu Kang MRT station when Toh knocked into her and brushed against her. Shocked, she stared at Toh who said sorry and walked off quickly. Toh similarly molested a 15-year-old girl along another Chua Chu Kang Loop walkway on Oct 7.
A fourth charge was taken into consideration. Toh has been convicted four times for similar offences, and was last given seven years' corrective training in 2003. He could have been jailed for up to two years on each charge.

Man itches for woman and pays the price
JOHOR BARU - A FACTORY worker who claimed that he scratched his 'itchy' private part in front of a neighbour by accident paid the price for his act.
Ahmad Hairul Nizam Hussin, 23, was fined RM1,500 (S$627) in default three months' jail by magistrate Mazana Sinin after he pleaded guilty to outraging the modesty of the 41-year-old school teacher. He paid the fine.
The accused was charged with exposing his private part to the victim who lived in an opposite flat unit at Taman Pelangi Indah. He did this at around 6am on Oct 8, 2009.
According to court documents, Ahmad Hairul, who was in his room, had exposed his genitals to the woman who was hanging clothes along the corridor of her home.
In mitigation, the accused said he always kept his room window open. 'I had just taken a shower and went into my room to change my clothes,' he told the court.

Navy woman accuses sailor of 'rape'
A woman from the Royal Navy in the United Kingdom has accused a sailor of rape after mistaking him for her lover.
She woke up to find she was having sex with the wrong man.
She claimed she didn’t realise she was in bed with her lover’s shipmate – as both men had Scottish accents.
She awoke when a man climbed into the bed.
In a ‘drunken and unconscious’ state, she believed it was her lover.
"I was drifting in and out of sleep, I was very drunk. I woke up to someone kissing my neck, I thought it was Greg (her lover)," she said.
"My eyes were closed, he carried on kissing me and one thing led to another and basically we had sex and at this time I still believed it was Greg. I began to enjoy it," she continued.
She started waking up properly because the bed was rattling.
"I opened my eyes and looked up thinking it was Greg (her lover) then realised it wasn’t Greg,"
"I had a second glance and that is when I said, “No”. I said, “No, get off’. I pushed that lad off," she said.

Father jailed for sexually abusing 4-year-old daughter
A MAN who abused his own four-year-old daughter was jailed for 12 months on Thursday.
The 38-year-old, who had pleaded guilty to ill-treating the child in a Community Court in 2010, had rubbed her buttocks on his groin and touched her private parts in June 2009.
The court was told that the accused was at home with his two sons and the victim, when he took her to the bedroom and placed her on his lap.
He then touched her genital area and rubbed her buttocks on his groin before letting her go. He told her to keep quiet by placing his finger on his lips.
A second similar charge was taken into consideration.
The accused's wife made a police report on July 25 that year stating that her five-year-old daughter had told her that she was sexually abused by her father again. The accused could have been fined up to $4,000 and/or jailed for up to four years.

Jailed 14 months for sex with a 14-year-old girl
HELMY Mahamod did not learn his lesson the first time around and on Feb 1, the 28-year-old repeat offender was sentenced to 14 months in jail for having sex with a 14-year-old girl.
Eight years ago, he had committed a similar offence with a different minor and was jailed four months. On both occasions, he got to know the victims through Internet chatrooms and the prosecutor had asked for a deterrent sentence as Helmy had not changed a bit. The unemployed man is appealing against the sentence.
He admitted to getting to know the second victim, a secondary school student, in December 2006. They would go on outings with other chatroom members and sometime in March or April 2007, the couple had gone to her flat first. She was a virgin and he had sex with her without using a condom. He also recorded it with a digital camera.
In his defence, Helmy claimed that he was suffering from a psychiatric problem which was undetected when he committed the offence but a report from the Institute of Mental Health stated that he had no mental or sexual disorder at that time.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Ruth Wong had asked the court to jail Helmy for 15 months as he had twice preyed on victims through chatrooms. The use of a digital camera to record the sexual act was also very serious as it allowed for repeated viewings and could cause great embarrassment to the victim if the footage fell into the wrong hands, she said.
Helmy, who pleaded guilty on the sixth day of the trial, could have been jailed up to five years and fined up to $10,000.

Japanese upskirt offender in Singapore jailed
A JAPANESE national who captured six photographs of a woman's thighs and her underwear with his digital camera was jailed for one week on Wednesday.
Nakagoshi Yuta, 25, pleaded guilty to insulting the modesty of the 30-year-old woman at Dhoby Ghaut station on Nov 3 2010.
A court heard that the woman was travelling on the escalator at the station when she felt someone had brushed her on the thigh area.
She turned around and saw Nakagoshi, who walked past her and tried to flee.
She shouted at him to stop. Two men who heard the commotion managed to detain him.
Police came and seized his camera which contained several upskirt photos. Nakagoshi could have been jailed for up to one year and/or fined.

Accused: Sex was on my mind
A MAN on trial for raping a 22-year-old woman two years ago said that sex was on his mind before he re-entered the room where she was.
But when asked by the prosecution earlier whether he intended to resume his sex act in the room, Ong Mingwee's answer was no.
The court heard that Ong, 28, had taken the woman home on Feb 12, 2009 after a friend had introduced the woman and another girl to him at Zouk that day. They had danced togther the whole night. He claimed that the way she danced was very sexy as if she was seducing him and he felt embarrassed.
When the club closed, Ong, who runs a family provision shop, was supposed to have taken the woman to her home. Instead, he claimed that they kissed in the cab and she agreed to go to his Toa Payoh North flat where the alleged offence occurred.
When they arrived at his home, Ong left the woman in his room while he went to the toilet and to smoke. When he returned, he found that she was crying, saying she was scared and wanted to go home. He was shocked and calmed her down, after which they tried to have sex but failed.
The woman started to cry again, andwanted to call her friend and her mother, to which Ong agreed. Ong also spoke to the woman's mother but the conversation took place in the kitchen. Subsequently, he returned to the room and found her on the bed. She was not crying any more and he said they had sex with her consent.

Woman in ICU after rape and assault
SEREMBAN (Malaysia) - A YOUNG woman who is believed to have been raped and assaulted before being dumped on the roadside is in the Intensive Care Unit of the Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital (TJH) here.
The unidentified woman in her 20s suffered serious head injuries and was found unconscious near a traffic intersection in Lukut, Port Dickson, by passers-by at 6.35am on Friday morning.
State OCCI ACP Hamdan Majid said motorists noticed a woman clad in a pink T-shirt and knee-length denim pants lying by the roadside and called for an ambulance.
'The victim may have been hit with a blunt object as she had sustained injuries to the back of her head,' he said.
ACP Hamdan said the victim also sustained injuries on both elbows and knees, which may have been a result of her being dragged on the road.
'Her identity is unknown but we believe she is local. She is still in the ICU but her condition is stable now,' he said. -- THE STAR/ANN

Young man tried to rape woman, 99
ACCORDING to The Age on Tuesday, a great-grandmother was bashed, robbed and indecently assaulted in her Melbourne house last year, a court has been told.
Christopher James Valle, 23, also attempted to rape the woman, 99, when he broke into her house in Ormond last September.
Valle was arrested in Queensland more than three weeks later and extradited to Victoria. He pleaded guilty in Melbourne Magistrates Court yesterday to two charges of indecent assault and one each of attempted rape, aggravated burglary, recklessly causing injury and theft.
Prosecutor Ray Gibson said six other charges - one each of attempted rape, intentionally causing injury, recklessly causing injury, intentionally causing injury, robbery and attempting to obtain property by deception - would be withdrawn.
Valle broke in and stole the woman's credit card and $70 and bashed her. He indecently assaulted her and attempted to rape her.
The woman sustained cuts and was hit on the head in the attack.

Female high school teacher accused of having sex with 5 pupils in just five months
A single high school gym teacher had sex with five students at her school, a court was told yesterday.
Stacy Schuler, 32, had sexual relations with the students – most of whom were football players at the school – over a five-month period from last August to December, the Warren County jury heard.
The sexual acts happened off school grounds but the single teacher also bought alcohol for the students at Mason High School in Mason, Ohio, prosecutors said.
The health and physical education teacher's last reported salary was $53,000 in 2008.
She had duties including working as an athletic trainer for the school’s girls and boys sports teams.
Schuler, of Springboro in Dayton, Ohio, faces up to 81 years in jail if she is convicted of 16 counts of sexual battery and three offences involving an underage person.
She has been under investigation after an anonymous tip was called in to officials last month, according to a spokeswoman for the school, which has more than 3,000 students.
Principal Mindy McCarty-Stewart said: ‘I am committed to the safety and well-being of our students, and will not tolerate behaviour that does not conform to that goal.
‘Our staff are prepared to help our students during this situation, and know how important it is to continue to build trust with our students and families.’
The Ohio Department of Education is expected to tell the Mason Board of Education to suspend Schuler without pay, she added.
Kevin Bright, superintendent at Mason City School District, said: ‘We acted swiftly, partnered with police immediately, and are standing here today because of how seriously our high school principal took an anonymous tip.
‘Now, we owe it to our nearly 11,000 students to make sure that we’re not letting our schools and staff become distracted by this situation.
'Instead, we need to recommit ourselves to creating an environment that supports student success, achievement, and safety.’
Schuler also faced disciplinary action in November 2007 after two students were in the teacher’s classroom and missing other classes, the Dayton Daily News reported.
She said the two students had to go through some personal problems.

Youth gets probation for sex with minor
A YOUTH who had sex with a 13-year-old girl three years ago was placed on 15 months' probation on Wednesday.
Mohamed Radhi Mohamed Kamis, 20, became the third person to have been given a shot at rehabilitation for having sex with the same girl.
The girl had told police that she had sex with several men when she was warded in hospital and found to be pregnant in July 2008. In all, she had sex with 15 men, some of whom have been convicted and jailed.
In the latest case, the court heard that Radhi became acquainted with the girl through the Internet chatroom alamak when he was a 17-year-old student. She told him she was either 13 or 14. They exchanged telephone numbers and subsequently also started exchanging text messages.
The court heard that on March 14, 2008, Radhi met the girl at an MRT station and proceeded to her home where they had sex.
A second similar charge was taken into consideration. Community Court Judge Ng Peng Hong also ordered Radhi, a full-time national serviceman, to perform 100 hours of community work and remain indoors between 10pm and 6am. His parents signed a bond to ensure his good behaviour.

China dungeon rapist sentenced to death
BEIJING - A MAN was sentenced to death for kidnapping and caging two girls in a dungeon and raping nine other women, said a verdict of the Intermediate People's Court of Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, on Sunday.
Zeng Qiangbao, a 40-year-old worker in a steel factory in Wuhan, was convicted of rape, illegally imprisoning, robbery and forcible seizure, according to the verdict.
The court heard that Zeng had caged two teenage girls in a dungeon for 590 days and 317 days as sex slaves until they were rescued by police on May 14 last year. He also raped another nine women from July 2007 to May 2010, the prosecutor said.
According to the prosecutor, on Sept 16, 2008, Zeng captured 16-year-old Hu and took her to a dungeon under his house and raped her. On July 2, 2009, Zeng kidnapped a 19-year-old girl surnamed Zhou and sexually assaulted her. The girl was also kept in the dungeon. The girls were repeatedly beaten and raped by Zeng, the prosecutor said.
The two were rescued on May 14, 2010, after a man surnamed Du visited his friend's electronics repair shop and found a note in a partially dismantled television. It read: 'Help. I've been held prisoner underground for more than a year.'
Along with the words was a hand-drawn map that showed where the girls were being kept, as well as the telephone number and address of Zhou's family. Du called the number and informed the father, who lived just 200m from where his daughter was being held. 13-year-old boy who got Aids through sex is youngest ever
TAIPEI - A 13 YEAR-OLD BOY has become the youngest person to become infected with acquired immune deficiency syndrome (Aids) through sexual intercourse, according to health officials.
It is suspected that the boy became infected while working part- time for a 50 year-old male, who lured him into sex with money, said Lin Ting, deputy director-general at the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
The boy was visiting an adolescent centre when he tested positive for Aids, Mr Lin said, adding that the CDC had traced the source of transmission to the older man, whose test also came back positive.
Mr Lin noted that young boys were referred to as 'Sky Food,' or delicious food falling from the sky, by adult homosexuals on the internet, who seek ways of enticing boys either with money or other incentives.
According to statistics compiled last year, the number of young people contracting the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) has continued to rise in Taiwan. Compared to 2009, 13.3 per cent more cases were diagnosed among those aged between 15 and 24 years old, the deputy director-general said. As of today, there are 55 cases where victims are under 19 years old.
Mr Lin pointed out that sexual encounters and drug injections are the two major routes of infection. With the HIV/Aids population in Taiwan standing at 20,057, and 65.9 per cent of those with the disease were infected by engaging in sexual practices and 32.2 per cent through intravenous drug use.

It is suspected that the boy became infected while working part- time for a 50 year-old male, who lured him into sex with money, said Lin Ting, deputy director-general at the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
The boy was visiting an adolescent centre when he tested positive for Aids, Mr Lin said, adding that the CDC had traced the source of transmission to the older man, whose test also came back positive.
Mr Lin noted that young boys were referred to as 'Sky Food,' or delicious food falling from the sky, by adult homosexuals on the internet, who seek ways of enticing boys either with money or other incentives.
