Singapore - Not only did he ask her for sex before they had even met, the first time Muhammad Saifulddin Abu Samad met his 12-year-old girlfriend, they kissed and petted.
A few days later, the then-Institute of Technical Education student violated the minor.
And by their third meeting, Saifulddin made the Primary 6 student perform oral sex on him.
Yesterday, a district court convicted the teenager, now 18 years old, of sexual assault against a minor under age 16. He will be sentenced on Aug 19.
The court ordered that no information that could lead to the identity of the victim be published.
Saifulddin got to know the girl through the social networking website Friendster in August last year, according to court documents. After exchanging several SMSes, he managed to persuade her to become his girlfriend - although they had not even met.
Shortly after, he asked her for sex but was rejected as the girl was afraid that she would become pregnant.
On the afternoon of Sept 22, they met for the first time.
They went to a staircase landing of the girl's block where they kissed and petted. Saifulddin bolted when the girl's uncle spotted the couple.
Less than a week later, he arranged to meet her again at a staircase landing of her block where he violated her.
On Oct 5, Saifulddin again asked to meet the girl.
After engaging in kissing and heavy petting for a while, he asked her to perform oral sex on him.
When she turned him down, he raised his voice at her, pulled her towards him, and got his way.
She stopped after a short while because she felt disgusted and the pair went home.
The following day, the girl told her friends in school about the incident, who then informed their teacher. The girl's parents then made a police report.
Yesterday, Deputy Public Prosecutor Navin S Thevar said Saifulddin had made her perform oral sex.
He added that Saifulddin had "actively sought out" the victim from the Internet, despite knowing that she was a young girl.
District Judge Soh Tze Bian called for pre-sentencing reports from probation officers, as well as the Reformative Training Centre, on the teenager. For the offence, Saifulddin faces a jail term of up to 10 years and/or a fine.

More girls raped by driver
PETALING JAYA - THE alleged rapist who forced himself on a young girl in the school bus he was driving on Monday is believed to have made at least two other children victims of his lust.
One of them, it is learned, is the bus driver's adopted daughter. Parents of the other child have not made any police report against the man.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Arjunaidi Mohamed said the police would lodge a report on behalf of the victims' families to enable them to carry out a thorough investigation. The three children have been sent for a medical check-up to determine if they had been raped or molested. It is learnt the 51-year-old suspect is married with three children, aged nine to 20, and lives in Taman Medan here.
Initial investigations revealed that the man adopted a girl six years ago when she was four. 'We believe that she had been sexually assaulted by the suspect several times,' ACP Arjunaidi said further. He also added that there could be more victims. He urged victims to come forward to lodge reports against the suspect.
The bus driver had allegedly raped a 10-year-old passenger in full view of other pupils in the bus at 12.40pm on Monday. He also allegedly parked the vehicle by the roadside at Jalan Othman here and forcefully undressed the child in front of the other horrified kids before raping her.
A kindergarten teacher who heard the screams sought help from passers-by, who grabbed the suspect and beat him up before handing him over to the police. ACP Arjunaidi said police believe the suspect had been raping young passengers in his bus over the past few months.

A kindergarten teacher who was passing by heard screams coming from inside the bus and alerted members of the public, who caught the 51-year-old driver and bashed him up before calling the police.
The incident took place along Jalan Othman, Petaling Jaya, at 12.40pm on Monday.
It is learnt that the driver had stopped the bus by the roadside and approached the victim. He undressed her in front of the horrified children and then raped her in full view of the other kids.

'Financial stress' prompted labourer to molest teen girl
AMPANG: The Sessions court here today heard that "extreme stress" drove a 47-year-old labourer to molest a teenage girl last year.
The court was told this after Sessions Court judge found Palha Gurri, from Kampong Pandan Dalam, guilty of two charges of molesting the girl, aged 14 years and two months, under Section 354 of the Penal Code.
Palha was charged on Sept 30 last year with using criminal force to kiss the victim's cheeks and grope her breasts without her consent at a house in Kampong Pandan Dalam, Ampang Jaya, on Sept 22 last year, between 6 to 6.50pm.
He was also charged with inserting the finger of his left hand into the vagina of the victim between 7pm and 7.30pm the same day.
In appealing for a lighter sentence, the court heard the accused had to care for his large family, comprising seven members with his RM500 income as a labourer.
The court heard he was driven to commit his crimes against the young girl as he was under 'tekanan jiwa' (mental stress) due to financial problems.
For his crimes, Sessions Court judge Noradidah Ahmad sentenced Palha to eight months' jail for the first charge and 24 months' jail for the second charge.
"This court finds the accused guilty. Even though the defence said a prison term was not mandatory, when he (the accused) put his finger in the victim's vagina, he caused a tear in her...I find a fine is not suitable," Noradidah said.
She ordered both sentences to run concurrently from today.
Noradidah, however, granted a stay of execution pending appeal and set bail at RM15,000.

Child rapists swapped victims
MALAYSIA: Two men who allegedly stalked young schoolgirls and sweet-talked them into becoming their friends were charged in the Ampang sessions court Monday with five counts of raping three underage girls.
Two of the girls were allegedly victims on separate occasions of both suspects - a despatch clerk and a tow-truck driver who lived in the same area in Ampang.
The two men pleaded not guilty to the offences allegedly committed at a Taman Industri flat in Lembah Jaya between last August and June.
She granted Aidil Rashid, 34, a bail of RM8,000 for each of the three charges with one surety while Lee Kwong Mun, 36, was granted RM8,000 bail for each of the two charges against him.
The judge also imposed a condition that they are not to disturb the witnesses in the case.
Aidil, a despatch clerk and a father of two, was accused of raping a 14-year-old girl at about 3pm to 3.30pm the flat some time between May and June.
In the second charge, he allegedly raped a 12-year-old girl at about 6.30pm at the same place between May and July.
Aidil was also charged with raping a 13-year-old girl at about 3pm at the flat between April and June.
Lee was accused of raping the same 13-year-old girl some time between last August and June. He faces a second charge of raping the 14-year-old girl.
Lee is accused of committing the offence between 9pm and 9.30pm at the same flat in May.

Teacher pokes boys' rear (with a pen)
SEVEN primary school pupils in Kuching were ordered to drop their pants and had their anus poked with a pen, reported China Press.
The students, all nine, was punished this way by a male teacher when they failed to submit their homework recently.
It was reported that one boy complained to his father who quickly informed the other parents.
The parents later lodged police reports against the teacher who is in his 20s. The daily also reported that police confirmed the case.

Hand-kissing cabby jailed
LAST August, cabby Francis Ngien Tai Ho grabbed the right arm of a 24-year-old passenger and kissed her hand when they arrived at her destination in Simei Street 1 in his Trans-Cab taxi.
The woman complained to her boyfriend, a police officer, and was advised to make a police report.
Ngien, 52, was arrested four days later.
He was jailed two weeks on Friday for outraging her modesty.
A district court heard that Ngien had done the same thing to a 19-year-old passenger in 2002. He had also hugged her and kissed her cheek. He had then been fined $8,000.

Man held over rape of teen
KLANG: A marketing executive was arrested for allegedly raping an underage girl in an apartment in Jalan Batu Tiga Lama.
Police also found two sports bags which contained panties of various sizes, colours and brands together with pornographic materials when they raided the 26-year-old suspect's room.
The alleged incident took place on July 12 when the 14-year-old girl was alone with the man who rents a room in the apartment.
Klang district police chief Asst Comm Mohamad Mat Yusop said the man had only just moved into the apartment which belonged to the girl's cousin two days prior to the incident.
He said the victim claimed that the man had molested her, asked her for sex, before raping her in the living room.
She related the incident to her cousin three days later after she found her underwear missing.
The victim also told her cousin that she was too frightened to tell anyone about the incident as the suspect was strongly built.
ACP Mohamad said they picked up the suspect, who is working with a publication company in Shah Alam, from the unit just after midnight yesterday.
He added that the girl had been taken to the Tengku Ampuan Rahi?mah Hospital for a medical examination. The suspect is being remanded until July 27.
In an unrelated case, a Viet?namese worker was arrested for stealing a safety valve from a factory in Jalan Seruling 59, Taman Klang Jaya here.
According to a worker, the manager at the plant found 1,550 pieces of safety valves worth an estimated RM60,000 missing.
The worker had apparently smuggled the safety valves out of the factory by hiding them in his pockets whenever he left the factory.
District CID chief DSP Ruslan confirmed the incident.

Waiter faces sex offences
A 25-YEAR-OLD waiter is alleged to have befriended a student to groom her for his sexual pleasure.
Poong Foo Yun, 25, is said to have convinced the 13-year-old to bare and massage her breasts in front of him at her home in the west of Singapore on the night of Sept 4, 2008.
He is believed to have returned the next day to get her to expose her chest again and to insert her finger into her private parts.
About 1.7m tall and rather plump, Poong is also charged for having five obscene films on his laptop.
The maximum sentence for making the teen perform an obscene act is a $5,000 fine and a two-year jail term. In addition, he could be fined up to $10,000 and/or jailed up to 10 years for getting her to penetrate herself. If convicted of sexual grooming, he could face a fine of up to $10,000 and/or a jail sentence of up to three years.
The court ordered that the victim not be named.

However, the family found out about the incestuous relationship only after the 15-year-old girl confessed to an elder sister about the boy’s sexual advances.
The girl, said to be mentally-challenged, is now five months’ pregnant.
Police arrested the youth on July 18 after the family lodged a report against him.
State CID chief ACP Mohd Adnan Abdullah said the youth, from Batang Tiga, near here, has been remanded for a week to help in investigations.
He said the suspect and the victim stayed in the same house. The boy’s mother is an elder sister of the victim.
The alleged relationship came to light when the victim complained to another sister about their nephew’s advances, ACP Mohd Adnan told reporters yesterday.

Arab guilty of rape after consensual sex with Jew
Israeli man of Arab origin sentenced to 18 months in prison after telling a woman that he was also Jewish
An Israeli man of Arab origin has been convicted of rape after having consensual sex with a woman who had believed him to be a fellow Jew.
Sabbar Kashur, 30, was sentenced to 18 months in prison on Monday after the court ruled that he was guilty of rape by deception. According to the complaint filed by the woman with the Jerusalem district court, the two met in downtown Jerusalem in September 2008 where Kashur, an Arab from East Jerusalem, introduced himself as a Jewish bachelor seeking a serious relationship. The two then had consensual sex in a nearby building before Kashur left.
When she later found out that he was not Jewish but an Arab, she filed a criminal complaint for rape and indecent assault.
Although Kashur was initially charged with rape and indecent assault, this was changed to a charge of rape by deception as part of a plea bargain arrangement.
Handing down the verdict, Tzvi Segal, one of three judges on the case, acknowledged that sex had been consensual but said that although not "a classical rape by force," the woman would not have consented if she had not believed Kashur was Jewish.
The sex therefore was obtained under false pretences, the judges said. "If she hadn't thought the accused was a Jewish bachelor interested in a serious romantic relationship, she would not have cooperated," they added.
The court ruled that Kashur should receive a jail term and rejected the option of a six-month community service order. He was said to be seeking to appeal.
Segal said: "The court is obliged to protect the public interest from sophisticated, smooth-tongued criminals who can deceive innocent victims at an unbearable price – the sanctity of their bodies and souls. When the very basis of trust between human beings drops, especially when the matters at hand are so intimate, sensitive and fateful, the court is required to stand firmly at the side of the victims – actual and potential – to protect their wellbeing. Otherwise, they will be used, manipulated and misled, while paying only a tolerable and symbolic price."
Gideon Levy, a liberal Israeli commentator, was quoted as saying: "I would like to raise only one question with the judge. What if this guy had been a Jew who pretended to be a Muslim and had sex with a Muslim woman?
"Would he have been convicted of rape? The answer is: of course not."
Arabs constitute about 20% of Israel's population, but relationships between Jews and Arabs are rare. There are few mixed neighbourhoods or towns, and Arabs suffer routine discrimination.
Israeli MPs are considering a law requiring prospective Israeli citizens to declare loyalty to Israel as a "Jewish, democratic state". Many Arabs would balk at swearing allegiance to a state which they see as explicitly excluding or marginalising them.
Dan Meridor, a deputy prime minister in Binyamin Netanyahu's government, is opposed to the proposal. "Why does every bill need the word 'Jewish' in it – to show the Arab citizens that it doesn't belong to them? Then we're all shocked when they radicalise their stance.
"The majority doesn't need to remind the minority that it is in fact a minority all the time," he added.

Once they had gained the trust of the girls, they persuaded them to hop into their car for a spin.
The girls would then be taken to either of the suspects’ home where they were raped.
It is learnt that the two men would often “swap” girls.
The victims were paid between RM50 and RM300 to silence them.
Police said the two men selected their victims and took a few days to get to know them before making a move.
Their evil acts were exposed when a neighbour of one of the suspects recognised one of the victims and informed her family.
Ampang Jaya police chief Asst Comm Abdul Jalil Hassan said police arrested the men separately at their homes on July 13 and July 14.
The arrests were made after police received the first police report on July 12. So far, police have received five reports.
ACP Abdul Jalil said police were expecting more victims to come forward soon.
Both men have been remanded until July 26 for investigation under Section 376 of the Penal Code for rape.

The taxi driver was reported to have preyed on at least six secondary school girls aged between 15 and 17.

Cops moved by granny's rape
Durban police officers, shaken by the rape of a 92-year-old woman, clubbed together to bring her some comfort on Mandela Day, which fell on her birthday.
As the nation celebrated Nelson Mandela's birthday, detectives from Isipingo tried to help the woman salvage what little she could of her birthday, pooling to buy a cake, cold drinks and a blanket, which they delivered on Sunday.
Hours after the attack on Thursday, police arrested a 29-year-old man, believed to be a neighbour, in the Isipingo area.
The frail victim lives with her niece's daughter in an informal settlement.
Speaking outside her modest home on Sunday night, a relative said she had left home at 5.30am last Thursday and returned at about 4.30pm.
"I came down to give gogo an orange but she was very quiet. She just took it and didn't say 'thank you' or anything.
"She slowly started to peel the orange, without looking at me, and I could see something was wrong.
"I asked my daughter if gogo was okay. That's when she told me she had been raped," she said.
She said she burst into tears as her daughter recounted what the victim had told her.
Her daughter said the neighbour had apparently come into the shack and forced himself on the elderly woman while they had been out.
"I quickly took her up to my place and put her on the bed and gave her some water. I called the police and they took us to Prince Mshiyeni Hospital."
She said doctors confirmed the elderly woman had been raped and police opened a case.
The victim had apparently become severely withdrawn and depressed after the incident. Another relative has temporarily moved in with her to care for her.
When the Daily News visited the family on Sunday night, the victim was lying on the floor of her sparsely-furnished shack, covered in a blanket to shield her from the bitter cold.
To exacerbate the situation, the family claims that some neighbours have started to threaten them for having their neighbour arrested.
"I'm so scared to live here now. I can't even sleep at night. A lady (from the settlement) told me if they find out he (the suspect) didn't do it and we got him arrested for nothing, then they will hurt us."
Warrant Officer Rajen Gounden, of the Isipingo SAPS detective services, said the unemployed suspect was arrested at his home on Thursday evening and was expected to appear in a Durban Magistrate's Court on Monday.
eThekwini Municipality executive committee member, Visvin Reddy, also paid her a visit last night.
"This act can be described as barbaric at best. The person responsible for this must be removed from society.
"The victim shares her birthday with Nelson Mandela and this incident serves as a stark reminder that Madiba's dream of a caring and crime-free nation will not be realised as long as criminals continue to behave in this way," he said.

As the nation celebrated Nelson Mandela's birthday, detectives from Isipingo tried to help the woman salvage what little she could of her birthday, pooling to buy a cake, cold drinks and a blanket, which they delivered on Sunday.
Hours after the attack on Thursday, police arrested a 29-year-old man, believed to be a neighbour, in the Isipingo area.
The frail victim lives with her niece's daughter in an informal settlement.
Speaking outside her modest home on Sunday night, a relative said she had left home at 5.30am last Thursday and returned at about 4.30pm.
"I came down to give gogo an orange but she was very quiet. She just took it and didn't say 'thank you' or anything.
"She slowly started to peel the orange, without looking at me, and I could see something was wrong.
"I asked my daughter if gogo was okay. That's when she told me she had been raped," she said.
She said she burst into tears as her daughter recounted what the victim had told her.
Her daughter said the neighbour had apparently come into the shack and forced himself on the elderly woman while they had been out.
"I quickly took her up to my place and put her on the bed and gave her some water. I called the police and they took us to Prince Mshiyeni Hospital."
She said doctors confirmed the elderly woman had been raped and police opened a case.
The victim had apparently become severely withdrawn and depressed after the incident. Another relative has temporarily moved in with her to care for her.
When the Daily News visited the family on Sunday night, the victim was lying on the floor of her sparsely-furnished shack, covered in a blanket to shield her from the bitter cold.
To exacerbate the situation, the family claims that some neighbours have started to threaten them for having their neighbour arrested.
"I'm so scared to live here now. I can't even sleep at night. A lady (from the settlement) told me if they find out he (the suspect) didn't do it and we got him arrested for nothing, then they will hurt us."
Warrant Officer Rajen Gounden, of the Isipingo SAPS detective services, said the unemployed suspect was arrested at his home on Thursday evening and was expected to appear in a Durban Magistrate's Court on Monday.
eThekwini Municipality executive committee member, Visvin Reddy, also paid her a visit last night.
"This act can be described as barbaric at best. The person responsible for this must be removed from society.
"The victim shares her birthday with Nelson Mandela and this incident serves as a stark reminder that Madiba's dream of a caring and crime-free nation will not be realised as long as criminals continue to behave in this way," he said.

Two sweet-talkers lure girls into rape trap
(Malaysia-Using their good looks and sweet-talk, two men befriended young girls and lured the teenagers to a vacant flat to rape them, Sin Chew Daily and China Press reported yesterday.
The dailies quoted police as saying that the men know each other but did not gang-rape the girls.
Their modus operandi is similar to that of the taxi driver who reportedly won the confidence of schoolgirls with his friendly ways.
The dailies said the two so-called handsome men have been arrested for allegedly raping at least five underage girls in a month.
As in the case of the taximan, the reports said the two suspects did the same thing – buying meals for the girls, said to be between 12 and 14 years old before luring them to the flat.
The suspects, it was reported, paid RM50 to RM300 to the girls to remain silent.
The dailies also reported that the police did not rule out the possibility that the suspects, in their 30s and who live in the same area in Ampang, knew the victims before targeting them. Ampang Jaya police received five reports in four days, Sin Chew reported.
The paper said the series of rapes were uncovered when a local resident noticed one of the men bringing different girls to the flats and alerted the family of one of the victims.

Man caught with prostitute cries and slaps himself
A 28-year-old man cried out loud and slapped himself when police caught him naked in a room with a prostitute.
He also admitted that he was wrong and apologised to his mother and company.
Last week, a police team in China carried out a series of anti-vice operation at six prostitution hubs in Guangxi.
When they raided a spa centre, they heard a voice in a room saying: "Faster put on your clothes."
And when they stormed into the room, they saw a man and a woman in nude.
Upon knowing he was caught red-handed, the man in the room sat on the bed and cried.
The man also slapped himself eight times on the face, telling police that it was his first time there.
"I drank a little and was feeling dizzy. Then I remembered some people said sauna can help to sober me up and I come... I'm sorry mother," he said.
The woman, who was also in tears, told police that she had worked at the spa centre for two months and was paid 100-odd yuan (RM47) for each customer.

He then took photographs of them and extorted the netpal for money.
In August last year, the father came to know that his 15-year-old daughter had sex with a man she met over a social-networking site in the Internet.
The 42-year-old father did not forbid her from having sex.
Instead, he ordered his daughter to have sex with her 37-year-old netpal again at a hotel room, where he installed a hidden camera.
When the daughter and her netpal were having sex, the father and a friend stormed into the room and assaulted the man.
The father also threatened the netpal with a sickle and stick, forcing him to pose for photographs in various positions with the girl.
He then asked the man to pay him NT$400,000 (S$172,320) for settlement but the latter refused.
Both parties lodged a separate police reports.
On Monday, Taichung Court sentenced the father and his 39-year-old friend to one-year imprisonment.

Man charged with having sex with underaged prostitute
SINGAPORE: A 28-year-old man has been charged with three counts of engaging the services of an underaged freelance sex worker.
Bhadrul Zaman Hashim allegedly gave S$50 to the 15-year-old girl in April last year and had sex with her in a room at Summer Hotel on Lorong 22 Geylang.
It's believed he engaged her services again in September and October last year.
Bhadrul Zaman is now out on a S$15,000 and he will appear again in court next Wednesday.
If convicted, he could be jailed up to seven years, fined or both.

Jail term reduced to $1k fine
WAS it intentional or not?
Two years ago, Patrick Loo Shun Wen reached across the mattress where his girlfriend and her friend were sleeping and touched the latter's breast.
The 27-year-old sales executive later pleaded guilty to molest and was sentenced to six months jail.
But on Tuesday, during Loo's appeal hearing, a High Court judge questioned whether he really intended to molest the woman, then 18, at all.
In the end, Justice V. K. Rajah set aside the jail term and fined Loo $1,000 instead, with the judge describing it as a bizarre case.
'Despite the fact that you have pleaded guilty, it's unclear to me what had actually taken place because you were in bed with your girlfriend with whom you wanted to get intimate with,' said Justice Rajah.

It was reported that the mother had tried to plead with the man through the door and was shocked to see her son raping the girl when she peeked through the window of his room.
A source said the teenager, who was raped four times during the incident last month, did not lodge a police report earlier because the man had promised to “take responsibility” for his actions.
However, the man, who is in his early 20s, had subsequently refused to marry her after she was confirmed to be pregnant.
The man was arrested on Monday after the teenager lodged a report with the Wangsa Maju police station.

Police charged Dan Tam Leof of the first block of Abbey Lane at the Abbey Walk Apartments, with second-degree rape and invasion of privacy.
The incident occurred June 29 at Le’s apartment, New Castle County police spokesman Senior Cpl. Trinidad Navarro said.
According to court records, the 18-year-old victim has known Le since high school.
The victim told police that she “passed out after taking a prescribed muscle relaxant” and fell asleep in Le’s bed fully clothed, police said in court records.
When she awoke, she was partially clothed and there was evidence that she had been sexually assaulted, police said. Le was asleep in the bed next to her, police said.
The victim then scrambled to find her cell phone to call a friend to pick her up, and not finding it grabbed Le’s cell phone next to the bed to make the call.
When the victim touched the screen, about 10 photographs depicting her unclothed appeared on the phone, according to the court records.
She said she called a friend to pick her up and drive her to state police Troop 6 at Prices Corner to report the sexual assault.
State police then turned the investigation over to county police because the incident occurred in their jurisdiction.
An investigation revealed that the suspect had taken video and photos of the assault, which had been deleted, but retrieved by investigators during a forensic exam of his cell phone, according to court records.
Police said the photographs show Le engaging in sexual intercourse with the victim, who is unresponsive. Le faces a July 20 court hearing.

Pilot fired for sex with attendant wants job back
A former Air Nelson flight attendant says she has no memory of having sex with a senior pilot, who lost his job over the incident and is appealing to get reinstated.
The woman, who has name suppression, and two Air Nelson pilots had a drinking session in a hotel room after an unscheduled stopover in Napier because of bad weather in May 2008.
Appearing in Auckland Employment Court today, the attendant said she could not remember what happened for the four hours after midnight until she woke up in the pilot's bed and rang a friend in a distressed state saying she believed she and the pilot had had sex.
She lodged a complaint with police, but when they said they would not lay charges she complained to Air Nelson which, after an investigation, sacked the pilot for serious misconduct, including sexual harassment, failing to act responsibly, and buying and drinking alcohol with two crew members.
The pilot claims the sex had been consensual and the woman had instigated it.
She denied that and said claims she had made "smutty and sensual talk" or exposed her breasts and buttocks were untrue.
"I wouldn't do that," she said.
During cross-examination, the pilot's lawyer, Julian Hague, asked why she had ordered two breakfasts for the following morning.
"I don't remember that."
"Just like that your memory stops?"
"Yes," she said.
"Was this a case of you consenting to intercourse but regretting it afterwards and using the loss of memory as an excuse?"
"No, it wasn't," she said.
Appearing as a witness, the friend and colleague she called after the incident said the woman was "obviously very disturbed" in her phone call.
The witness said she was concerned about the incident between a "considerably older" pilot and her young colleague and was also worried about the large amount of alcohol he was alleged to have drunk before flying a plane the next day.
"What happened that night in Napier was unethical for an Air Nelson captain and I would be very concerned for young flight attendants who had to work with him on an overnight duty," she said.
The hearing is likely to continue for the rest of the week.
Air Nelson is a subsidiary of Air New Zealand.

PONTIAC (Michigan) - A DETROIT-AREA woman who pleaded guilty to having sex with the biological son she gave up for adoption and later tracked down on the Internet has been sentenced to nine years to 30 years in prison.
Thirty-six-year-old Aimee L. Sword of Waterford Township apologised at her sentencing Monday in Oakland County Circuit Court.
She had pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct in a deal with prosecutors.
Police say Sword used Facebook in 2008 to find her son, who's now 16. She gave him up for adoption as an infant.
He testified they had sex in Waterford Township and Grand Rapids.

A 23-YEAR-OLD Malaysian woman was beaten up by her husband after he caught her semi-naked in a car parked outside his office.
Apparently, she had defied her husband by going out drinking at 11pm on Friday.
China Press reported that she later had sex with two men inside the car before she drove to her husband's office and waited for him. However, she fell asleep before he arrived.
When the husband showed up later, he found her half naked in the car and beat her up.

Jailed 6 years, caned 6 times
THE boy was nine when he started talking about sex with his tutor.
During a tuition session in his bedroom, the boy told the 36-year-old man that he was curious about men's genitals.
Two months later, when his tutor went to the toilet, the boy followed, pushing the door open to enter the toilet. He initiated sex with the man, who then allowed the boy to perform oral sex on him. This was repeated four more times over the next three months.
On Monday, the tutor, who cannot be not named to protect the identity of the boy, was sentenced to six year's jail and six strokes of the cane.
However, in sentencing, High Court judge Kan Ting Chiu said this case was different from the typical sex abuse case in which the adult offender is the one who initiates the sex act. 'One peculiar fact is that the boy is the initiator,' said the judge.
Justice Kan sentenced him to three years' jail and three strokes of the cane on each of the two charges he had pleaded guilty to, with the two terms to run consecutively.

He has to undergo 120 hours of community service, attend a treatment programme, and was bonded for $5,000 to ensure his good behaviour.
Community Court judge Ng Peng Hong heard on Friday that the teen, who has an IQ level of 84 which puts him at a low average range of intelligence, has a moderate risk of committing similar offences.
Assistant Public Prosecutor N.K. Anitha pointed out that the accused was likely to engage in a significant amount of sexual grooming behaviour once he has identified a potential victim.
The psychologist recommended that he should not have unsupervised contact with those around his age or older males, especially those who are intellectually challenged.
The teen had earlier admitted to two counts of anal sex with two 15-year-old schoolmates in March and November 2008. He was then 14.

Producer jailed for sex with boy
A 26-YEAR-OLD man sodomised a 13-year-old boy after getting to know him through the SG Boys website.
Some three weeks earlier in early August 2008, the secondary school student had performed oral sex on the freelance film director in his car.
Alex Fong Guo Yuan was jailed three years on Thursday. District Judge Hamidah Ibrahim noted the young age of the victim. She had also heard that Fong had a sexually transmitted disease when he had unprotected sex with the minor.
The boy, who cannot be named as he is a minor, went to the police on Sept 17 2008. Investigations then revealed that after chatting online about oral and anal sex, Fong arranged to meet the boy at the Geylang East swimming complex sometime before National Day. They then went to a multi-storey car park in Aljunied Avenue 2 where the boy performed oral sex in Fong's car.
They met again on Aug 27 when Fong picked the boy at his school. In a hotel room in Geylang, they had anal sex.
A medical examination on Fong on Sept 24 indicated that Fong had chlamydia urethritis - a sexually transmitted disease that can make passing urine painful. The court was not told if Fong, who did not use a condom when with the boy, was aware that he had this disease.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — A man went to the police after getting robbed by a woman he intended to pay for sex, but refused when she flashed a smile full of bad teeth. The man told investigators he and a 25-year-old woman were negotiating a price until he noticed her dental problems. He told police that after he resisted, she snatched a checkbook containing $78 from his shirt pocket and fled.
The man told authorities the woman did not realize that he had tucked a wad of cash into her bra and that she got scared and ran away.
The woman was arrested on a robbery charge.
Gainesville police said it was unlikely the man would face misdemeanor charges for solicitation, because he was the victim of a felony.

Hong Kong gang-rape victim not Singaporean, says MFA
Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said yesterday that the woman allegedly raped by three men was not a Singaporean, as reported by national daily The Straits Times.
Local media had reported that the university student was from Singapore. She was allegedly gang-raped while on an exchange programme in Hong Kong.
This happened on June 29 when the young woman was allegedly raped six times by three Nepalese men on a yacht.
She had met them earlier at a pub in Lan Kwai Fong, Hong Kong's famous nightlife district.
Two men were charged on Monday with rape as well as aiding and abetting rape. The third, who is out on bail, is to report back to police by the end of the month.

Fears of rape in Kenya's slums 'trap women'
Fear of sexual violence is keeping poor Kenyan women away from communal toilets, and increasing the risk of disease, Amnesty International says.
In a report on Kenya's slums, the human rights group said women and girls were afraid to leave their shacks at night.
As a result they were risking contracting diseases such as dysentery and cholera, the report said.
About 60% of Nairobi residents, about two million people, live in slums with limited access to water and sanitation.
Amnesty criticised a lack of policing in the shantytowns and the government's failure to enforce planning laws and regulations.
It called on the Kenyan government to address violence against women and to ensure women's access to sanitation and public security services.
'Flying toilets'
"Women and girls in Nairobi's slums live under the constant threat of sexual violence," the report said.
"Unable to leave their one-roomed houses after dark, many women in informal settlements resort to 'flying toilets' - using plastic bags thrown from the home to dispose of waste."
Godfrey Odongo, Amnesty's east Africa researcher, said there was "a huge gap between what the government commits to do, and what is going on in the slums every day".
"Kenya's national policies recognise the rights to sanitation and there are laws and standards in place. However, because of decades of failure to recognise slums and informal settlements, planning laws and regulations are not enforced in these areas.

"The lack of enforcement of these laws has ensured that landlords and structure owners in the slums can get away without providing any toilets or shower places for their tenants."
The report, Insecurity and Indignity: Women's experiences in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya, highlights the case of a 19-year-old woman called Amina who was attacked as she walked to a latrine in Nairobi's Mathare slum.
"I always underestimated the threat of violence," she said. "I would go to the latrine any time provided it was not too late."
Four men attacked her in the early evening and were about to rape her when her cries were heard and a group of residents arrived to save her.
In March, trials began of a biodegradable toilet bag it is hoped will replace the flying toilets in Nairobi's largest slum of Kibera.
The "Peepoo" bag is coated with a chemical which turns human waste into fertiliser.
Dickson Matu Makau, who was in charge of distributing and collecting the used bags, told the BBC's Network Africa programme that the Peepoo proved popular and was much preferred to normal polythene bags.
Analysts predict the population of Nairobi will swell to about six million by 2025.

Report: Seven more Penans tell of rape (Updated)
KUALA LUMPUR: Seven more Penan teenagers and young women came forward to relate their stories of rape, the Penan Support Group said in its latest report.
The report, "A wider context of sexual exploitation of Penan women and girls in Middle and Ulu Baram, Sarawak, Malaysia", by the group of 36 non-governmental organisations (NGOs), was released in Parliament Tuesday.
Suara Rakyat Malaysia documentation and monitoring coordinator John Liu said following the findings of the National Task Force Report in September last year, a group of NGOs set out to investigate further the situation in Sarawak, on learning there were other Penan women and their families who wanted to share similar stories.
"We were motivated to document new evidence in light of the Sarawak government leaders' repeated refusals to acknowledge that Penan girls were sexually abused by timber workers and their apparent rejection of the National Task Force Report findings," he said in the Parliament briefing room, at a press conference attended by around 50 representatives of NGOs, Opposition MPs, the Malaysian Bar and embassies.
Liu said the fact-finding mission by the Penan Support Group, Forum-Asia and Asian Indigenous Women's Network visited three Penan communities and one Kenyah community and also listened to evidence from 13 other Penan communities.
The mission found that the women were willing to share their stories but did not want to go to the authorities due to the police's alleged lackadaisical response in the past, coupled with the lack of identity cards, language barrier and prohibitive cost of travel, he added.
The cases revealed patterns of violence and harrassment, abduction, rape, physical assault, emotional abuse, coercion into marriage and desertion upon pregnancy, Liu said.
"The documentation refutes those who, in the past, rejected the veracity of the Penan women's claims," he added.
Women's Aid Organisation social worker manager Wong Su Zane said some of the women travelled two or three days out of jungle to meet the team of 13 volunteers at their base camp during their fact-findinviolence and harrassment, abduction, rape, physical assault, emotional abuse, coercion into marriage g mission from Nov 1 to 7 last year.
"Many of them cried and are still very angry because of the pain they had to go through," she said.
PKR's Ampang MP Zuraida Kamaruddin said she would raise an emergency motion on Monday for a Royal Commission to be set up to investigate the cases, as well as the wider land and social issues related to sexual exploitation.

DHAKA (Bangladesh) - HALF of all disabled children in impoverished Bangladesh have been sexually abused, often by close family relatives, according to a new study.
Some 52 per cent of girls and 48 per cent of boys aged between seven and 18 years have been abused, molested or raped, said the report by a Bangladeshi state-run foundation for the disabled and Save the Children.
'The majority of the attackers are male and some 40 per cent of the offenders are family members, which shows how vulnerable our disabled children are,' said Selina Ahmed of Save the Children.
'This is the first study carried out in Bangladesh on sexual abuse of disabled children and we have been shocked by the findings,' she told AFP on Wednesday.
The study was conducted on 216 children and 535 adults with hearing, vision, physical and mental disabilities. Researchers also interviewed family members, teachers and charity workers.
According to the study, children with mental problems face more harassment than other disabled children because they often cannot distinguish between sexual abuse and normal physical contact. -- AFP

BANGKOK (Thailand) - INTERNATIONALLY acclaimed Russian pianist and conductor Mikhail Vasillievich Pletnev has been charged with raping a 14-year-old boy in a Thai beach town, police said on Wednesday.
Mikhail Vasilievich Pletnev, the founder of the Russian National Orchestra, was charged on Tuesday with rape and appearing in compromising photographs with several other boys, said police Lieutenant Colonel Creetha Tankanarat.
He was released on a 300,000 baht (S$12,800) bail, ordered to report to the court every 12 days and is banned from contacting any witnesses in the case. He could face up to 20 years in jail and a fine of up to 40,000 baht if found guilty.
'This whole thing is a misunderstanding,' said Pletnev in a brief telephone interview with The Associated Press but did not elaborate. He said he had no intention of leaving Thailand and was still residing in Pattaya.
Thailand has long been known as a haven for sex tourists and paedophiles because of widespread prostitution and lax law enforcement. Authorities have voiced intentions to crack down on such offenses, and the Russian's arrest is one of the most prominent cases to date.
Police said the musician was taken in Monday evening following a tip from Traipob Boonmasong, a Thai national who was charged with child rape for his alleged involvement in a child prostitution ring. Police confiscated pictures of young boys, some alongside foreigners. -- AP

Eleven-year-old gang raped by six men
AN 11-year-old girl’s stroll with her boyfriend at a jetty in Umbai ended with her being raped by a former boyfriend and his five friends on June 29, Sinar Harian reported.
The victim and her boyfriend were walking along the jetty at noon when they were threatened by the six.
Malacca CID chief Assistant Comm Mohd Adnan Abdullah said the victim and her boyfriend were taken in a car to a house not far from the jetty by her former boyfriend and his friends.
“The victim claimed she was raped but does not remember how many of them raped her,” he said at the state police contingent headquarters.
Mohd Adnan said two men have been arrested. The case is being investigated under Section 376 of the Penal Code.

Engineer on molest trial
(Singapore) AN INFORMATION technology engineer is now in court for attempting to outrage the modesty of a doctor.
Pham Thai Ha, 30, is accused of holding her shoulders and trying to kiss her while being treated for a rash on a finger in June last year. He is also alleged to have used criminal force on her by holding her left hand and pulling her towards him during the same consultation.
The Vietnamese national and Singapore permanent resident is denying both charges. The court has ordered that the identity of the doctor not be revealed. On the first day of the trial on Tuesday, a district court heard that Pham, then working for StarHub, came to the clinic at 2.40pm on June 6 last year. She was the only doctor at the clinic then.
Testifying, the doctor said that after she had prescribed antibiotic cream for the rash on Pham's finger, he complained about a rash on his buttocks. She told him to remove his clothes for an examination but found no rash.
The doctor alleged that he had an erection and it was then he reached for her left hand and tried to tug it towards him. She said she pulled away and told him to dress while she went to her table to write the case notes.
After putting on his clothes, he went behind her, put his hands on her shoulders, leaned down and said that he liked her very much. He then tried to kiss her, she said. Pham is represented by lawyer P.E. Ashokan. The trial is set for three days.

Eight declared suspects for posting celebrity sex videos on web

The National Police chief detective Comr. Gen. Ito Sumardi said Monday police had declared eight people as suspects for posting local celebrity sex videos on websites.
However, the eight suspects were not detained, he added.
He said police were still investigating 12 more people whether or not they also posted the sex videos on websites, kompas.com reported.
There are two celebrity sex videos circulating in the public allegedly involving singer Nazriel Ihram aka Ariel Peter Pan, actresses Luna Maya and Cut Tari.
A lawyer representing Ariel said Monday Ariel was relieved that eight people had been named suspects by police for posting on websites sex videos allegedly featuring him and two actresses.
"We don't feel being the victim of unjustice anymore," the lawyer, Alfrian Bondjol, said as quoted by kompas.com.
He said his two clients, Ariel and Luna Maya, had been badly judged by the public and the media although they probably were not guilty in the sex videos case.
"The guilty ones are those who posted the videos on websites."

Took part in Hong Kong University exchange program, Singaporean female undergrad gang-raped
22-year-old Singaporean female undergrad was drinking in a pub in Hong Kong, claimed she was raped six times by three men.
According to szhk.com, a 22-year-old Singaporean female undergrad was drinking alone at a pub in Lan Kwai Fong on 28th June. She was drunk and three Nepali men, including two brothers, who were working in the pub chatted her up.
They invited her to a yacht party, but after accompanying her by cab to a yacht in Causeway Bay, they took turns to rape her.
She was unable to overcome them and the men escaped after that.
The victim woke up next morning and found herself alone in the yacht, partially undressed. She then called the police and said she was raped six times by the three Nepali men.
The police immediately began investigation and sent her to the hospital for checkup. The case was classified as rape and handled over to the coast guard police for investigation.
One 20-year-old man will be charged with rape in court today. Another two men, aged 20 and 21-year-old, are alleged to assist and abet rape.
The police went to the yacht and pub for investigation and looked through the cctv footages. They then caught one man first around Lan Kwai Fong area, then based on the statements, arrested the other two men at their apartment. The 21-year-old man is currently on bail and will be reporting to the police station this month.

LONDON, Ont. - Greg Stewart went from mentor to inmate for reasons he still can't explain.
The once-admired London elementary school teacher's spectacular fall ended with the short walk across a courtroom Friday into custody.
Before sentencing Stewart to six months in jail for sexually assaulting a 14-year old female pupil, the judge said the former Orchard Park teacher "lost everything he stood for" and "demolished his life."
"His legacy, which should have been a proud one, is now tarnished by his own criminal actions," said Ontario Court Justice John Skowronski.
Stewart, 56, a 1993 winner of the Prime Minister's Award for Teaching Excellence, was a mainstay and inspiration in the school for three decades.
As he was led away, he looked back at a small group of friends and family, gave a wan wave and disappeared through the door.
His victim, her identity protected by court order, watched Stewart be sent to jail, after enduring months of ridicule and scorn from those who wanted to believe Stewart was innocent.
"You have no shame in this matter and only the people who addressed you have shame," the judge said.
Skowronski also ordered a year-long probation for Stewart and that he be added to the sex offender registry for 10 years.
Stewart had told a psychiatrist he didn't know why he began quiet conversations in January 2009 with one of his pupils, which Skowronski described as "repugnant."
After overhearing the girl talk about masturbation, he encouraged her to try it and told her techniques including the use of sex toys and a banana. He suggested she tell him when she did, so he could masturbate at the same time at his home.
Stewart called it "homework."
After two months of intensely suggestive discussions, the girl found herself with Stewart standing close to her in the classroom while with another pupil. Stewart slid the back of his hand over her clothing, then turned it over on her breast and down her body. He apologized later, but asked if could touch her again.
The girl disclosed the touch to another teacher, who spoke to Stewart. Stewart said he didn't want his "good career" to end. The teacher reported the activities to the principal, who called police.
The judge said he was moved by the girl's victim impact statement -- "It hurts every day" -- despite Stewart's "impeccable" career. He said he recognized Stewart was filled with guilt and is in counselling, but said it was a breach of trust "at its highest."
The Crown asked for a year in jail, while defence lawyer Patrice Band argued for a strict probation with house arrest-like terms.
Band couldn't argue for a conditional sentence because of Parliament's amendments making sexual assault convictions ineligible for house arrest. Skowronski said he wouldn't impose a strict probation, because that would be "counter to the intent of Parliament."
The message, he said, had to be sent to the community and has to deter any one else "that commit such egregious acts on the young in our community. If only one person was impacted by the decision of the court, it would be beneficial to the community."
The judge also recommended Stewart be taken to detention alone and be segregated. Stewart had his nose broken in courthouse cells after his arrest.
A statement released by Mike Sereda, the Thames Valley District school board's executive superintendent, said Stewart's crime was "both shocking and saddening," and encouraged the community to "show our support for our youth when they do the right thing and show the courage to stand up and disclose inappropriate behaviour."
Outside court, Band said he's worried for Stewart in jail, but "I hope that his guilty plea and his remorse sends some healing message to the complainant and her family and the community because it came from a very sincere place."
The victim's sister, 13, speaking for the family, said she wasn't happy with the sentence. "I don't think he'll learn much in six months." Her sister, she said, was depressed and had many sleepless nights.
"Grade 8 is supposed to be your year to remember, your last year of elementary school, " she said. "You want to make it one to remember but he screwed it up and made it worse."

LEAVENWORTH, Kan. (CBS/AP) Shannon Young, a former Kansas teacher and volleyball coach, is charged with having sex with a 17-year-old student.

The 36-year-old was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with three counts of unlawful sexual relations.
Leavenworth County prosecutors allege Young had consensual sexual intercourse with one of her students between August 2009 and June 2010.
Though the victim was of legal age of consent for Kansas, it is still illegal for teachers to have "sexual relations" with students at their schools, according to the Leavenworth Times.
Young resigned in April from her job as an English teacher and volleyball coach at Pleasant Ridge High School in Easton, Kan.
She started working for the Easton school district in August 2009.

Ex-Coach Sentenced For Inappropriate Relationship
XENIA, Ohio -- A former Xenia coach is headed to jail for having an inappropriate relationship with a female student.
Brenda Osborne learned her punishment on Wednesday, which includes registering as a sex offender for the rest of her life.
Osborne, 43, was also sentenced to six months in jail and five years of probation.
In March, the former Xenia High School volleyball coach and counselor pleaded guilty to a charge of sexual battery, admitting that she had an inappropriate relationship with a student.
Greene County Judge Stephen A. Wolaver said, "Your council provided me with dozens of letters on your behalf. This tells me a lot about who you are."
The letters were written by those who support Osborne, and many of them were in the courtroom on Wednesday.
When given the opportunity to speak, Osborne stayed quiet. However, through her attorney, she said she was sorry to the teenage victim.
Concerning the victim, Prosecutor Nicole Burke said, "Her entire senior year was pretty much destroyed. She had to literally hide in a place where she should have felt safe. Yes, Brenda Osborne was punished, but she deserved to be punished."
Osborne resigned from the Xenia School District last fall and lost her teaching certificate.
Her attorney said Osborne admits to making a terrible mistake. Richard Skelton said, "If you're a teacher, don't have an inappropriate relationship with a student. It's that simple. You'll pay the price if you do."

10 couples caught naked daily on Terengganu beaches
KUALA TERENGGANU: As many as 10 couples are caught daily by anti-vice volunteers along the Tok Jembal and Teluk Ketapang beaches, which are increasingly becoming favourite haunts for sexual trysts.
Many of them are said to be students from institutes of higher learning.
A volunteer, who requested anonymity, said most of the couples were caught “doing it” behind coconut trees, rocks, inside cars and even openly on the beaches.
“For non-Muslim couples, we could only advise them on the sensitivity of their action to the locals but Muslims caught will be produced before the Syariah Court,” he said.
He said anti-vice officers would go to places identified as “hot spots” to catch the culprits in the act.
“We listen for sounds of heavy breathing and kissing.
“We then move in and aim our torchlights on the couples. In most cases, they are caught naked.”
The officer said the procedure was to wait awhile before approaching the couples so as to get evidence for prosecution purposes.
“I have daughters and I feel sorry for the parents of these couples,” he said, adding that the youngsters had betrayed the trust of their folk who hoped their children would excel in their education.
The 48-year-old volunteer, who claimed to have caught 1,200 couples on the beaches since signing up as a volunteer in 2004, said he had had enough.
“I cannot take it any longer and am thinking of giving up this work. I have decided that enough is enough after six years as a volunteer,” he said.
Terengganu state executive councillor Rozi Mamat said he had received reports that “dozens of young couples” had been spotted in compromising positions at both the beaches.
“I have received numerous complaints from nearby villagers about immoral behaviour,” he said.
Rozi, newly-appointed as the state Youth and Sports committee chairman, said: “These activities could lead to moral decay among our youths if we keep mum on the matter.”
To address the situation, Rozi plans to suggest to the state government to light up both beaches and intensify patrols at “hot” areas.

Elaine Dadd heard her husband having sex with the teenager at their marital home in East Cleveland.
Serial sex attacker Steven Dadd was jailed indefinitely and was on Friday night branded a 'significant risk' by a judge.
Mrs Dadd was preparing to return to work, realised the machine had been activated, listened to the recording and discovered what had happened.
Shaun Dodds, prosecuting, told Teesside Crown Court that Mrs Dadd was physically sick when she heard the recording, and reported her husband to Cleveland Police.
When he was interviewed, the convicted rapist gave no reply, but in letters he later sent from prison, he admitted having sex with the girl, but denied forcing her.
Judge George Moorhouse cleared the courtroom so he could listen to the recording, in which the girl repeatedly pleads with Dadd to stop his assault.
He told Dadd: 'You have been in trouble many times in the past. This is an extremely serious offence which fully justifies a lengthy custodial sentence.
'I have read the report about you and I am quite satisfied that you present a significant risk of further harm to members of the public, especially females.'
The court heard that Dadd - also known as Addison - was jailed for four years in 1979 for raping a 16-year-old he picked up in his car and drove to an isolated place.
In 1983, he received six months for another serious sexual offence, and in 1990, was jailed for seven years and nine months for the attempted rape of an eight-year-old.
Dadd was jailed for 14 years in 1996 for false imprisonment and grievous bodily harm after he drove a prostitute to wasteland and attacked her.
Christopher Knox, mitigating, said Dadd had accepted an indefinite sentence because of his record, but should be given credit for sparing his victim the ordeal of giving evidence.
Judge Moorhouse ordered that Dodd should serve at least five years in prison before he is considered for release, but he will only be freed when he is no longer considered to be a danger.
He will also have to sign the sex offenders' register, and a Sexual Prevention Order banning him from having unsupervised contact with under-16s was also made.

A teacher from Pinal County was arrested after authorities apparently witnessed her having sex with a 14-year-old former student, according to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.
Andrea Martinez, 26, was taken into custody on suspicion of child molestation and sexual contact with a minor.
Officers in Stanfield noticed an SUV pulled off the road at 10:40 p.m. Wednesday near members of the Gila River Police Department, according to a statement from the Pinal County Sheriff's Office. Using night vision goggles, the officers noticed two people apparently having consensual sex.
The woman and teenager then left the SUV and began to argue before officers made contact, according to the statement.
Authorities said they later learned the male was 14 years old and the woman was Martinez, a teacher with the Stanfield Elementary School District. She was the teen's former teacher. According to the statement from the sheriff's office, Martinez and the boy told deputies they were having sex in the vehicle.
The boy said they also had sex a month earlier, according to the sheriff's office statement.
The Stanfield Elementary School District was notified of the arrest and is cooperating with the investigation, authorities said.

Police found the man, and a Jersey City woman, on a stoop at Jackson and Fifth streets, Hoboken, after receiving a report of adults having sex in public, according to reports.
When police arrived at the address at about 7 p.m. Tuesday, they found Jeffrey Mahon, 43, and Shiela Slaten, 59, who said they had just been sitting on the steps and were not doing anything sexual, according to reports.
No one in the area wished to file any complaints, police said.
However, when police checked the names of the suspects, they found that both had outstanding warrants.
Mahon had three warrants from Hoboken and Slaten had a warrant from Jersey City, according to reports.
Police arrested both and took them to the police station for processing.
At the station, Mahon stood up from the chair where he was handcuffed and urinated on the fingerprint machine, officials said.
He was subsequently charged with criminal mischief, reports said.
Mahon was taken to Hoboken University Medical Center to be evaluated and cleared for incarceration, officials said.
He was taken to the Hudson County jail on Wednesday, officials said.

Oral sex with underaged gets uncle into trouble
A HUMAN resource manager, accused of molesting several girls between 1994 and May this year, on Friday faced a fresh charge of sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl.
Ng Ban Keong is said to have made the girl perform oral sex on him at the Golden Landmark shopping centre carpark staircase on May 21.
The 53-year-old has been charged with molesting the student at the same spot between 6.40am and 7.10am on the pretext of conducting a medical examination.
He also faces five other counts of molesting girls aged between 10 and 12 at staircase landings in Jurong West and Clementi between 1994 and 2005.
Ng, who is represented by Mr Subhas Anandan, was remanded for psychiatric assessment.
His next court date is July 23.
If found guilty of sexual penetration of a minor, he can be jailed for up to 20 years and fined. Caning will not be imposed as he is above 50.

A 40-year-old man is on the run following accusations that he had been raping his three daughters, sometimes all in one night.
The girls, aged 11, 13 and 14, said they were regularly forced out of their sleep to satisfy their father’s lust for the past six months.
Harian Metro reported that the man was initially seen as a good father for raising the girls himself after his divorce five years ago.
However, his misdeeds came to light when his youngest daughter spoke about the rape to an aunt, who then informed the girls’ mother who is in Sandakan.
The 14-year-old girl said she had been raped almost nightly since January.
The 13-year-old daughter was raped between May and June while the youngest one began suffering the same fate since last month.
Their mother, upon finding out about the matter, instructed another daughter, aged 18, to lodge a report at the Kota Marudu police station on Wednesday.
“The suspect was not at home when we went to the house,” District police chief DSP Mohd Isa Yusof said.
He said the girls had been warded at Kota Marudu Hospital for observation. /The Star

Teen runs half-naked for 1km to escape gang rape
AN 18-year-old girl ran half-naked for 1km to escape 10 men who tried to rape her in an oil palm estate in Gerik, Perak, reported Harian Metro
The girl and her boyfriend had earlier gone on a date and had entered the estate to have sex.
While they were resting after their tryst, 10 men approached the couple and tried to rape the girl, said a source.
The source said the victim managed to put on her pants and grab her handphone before fleeing. After running for about 1km, she called the police.
The police showed up and rescued her from the men. She later lodged a police report before being taken to Hospital Gerik.
