A TEEN was charged in court on Thursday with molesting a 15-year-old girl in Tampines on March 24.
Jeremy Yeo Ming Che, 16, allegedly grabbed the girl from behind and covered her mouth before molesting her at a void deck at about 8.30pm that day.
He was remanded at Bedok for further investigation as he is believed to be involved in similar cases.
The maximum penalty for molestation is up to 10 years and caning.

Man gets probation for underage sex
A 22-YEAR-OLD man became the 11th man to be dealt with for having sex with an underage girl.
The girl, then 13, had told police in 2008 of her sexual encounters with more than a dozen men.
On Thursday, Yang Zhen Long, who intends to further his studies, was placed on 15 months' supervised probation and ordered to perform 100 hours of community service. He had earlier pleaded guilty to having sex with the girl at her place twice in May 2008. A third similar charge was taken into consideration.
The court heard that Yang, then 19, had sex with the girl on May 21 that year, two days after he came to know her.
He went to her home the next day and again had sex with her.
The offences came to light when the girl was admitted to hospital and underwent an abortion in July 2008. Yang was not the biological father of the foetus.

Student suspended from fraternity for having sex with girl on university roof
A student who had sex with a girlfriend on top of a university building in front of hundreds of onlookers has been suspended from his fraternity.
The University of Southern California, in the US, said the student could also face further disciplinary action.
Pictures of the pair having sex on top of the university's 12-storey School of Education in broad daylight were circulated on the internet and went viral.
The woman involved was not a student at USC.
The university said it was investigating whether the actions of the male student "constituted a violation of university policies that prohibit unauthorised access to building roofs."
Denzil Suite, USC Associate Vice President of Student Affairs, told the university's Daily Trojan newspaper: "To say that we are disappointed in this type of behaviour does not begin to capture the seriousness with which we regard this type of activity.
"While I cannot speak to specific actions which will be taken with any individual, suffice to say that this type of conduct cannot go unaddressed."
A statement from the student's fraternity, Kappa Sigma, said he was suspended for "conduct unbecoming of a Kappa Sigma and a gentleman."

MOE scholar arrested last month for lewd act
WHAT's done is done, a Ministry of Education (MOE) teaching scholar who allegedly carried out lewd acts in front of a fellow National University of Singapore (NUS) undergraduate told my paper on the phone on Tuesday.
my paper understands that Garett Kwok Yi Jun, 23, was arrested on Feb 17 - the same day that a police report on the incident was lodged by the victim.
His alleged deeds have sparked a flurry of discussion on popular online forum Hardwarezone.com after my paper broke the news on March 4.
Kwok, who is believed to be a third-year history major from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, said he was upset that some netizens had slammed him for "play(ing computer) games every day" and "do(ing) project work as per normal."
When contacted on Tuesday, he said: "You have to get on with life. If you're doing project work, you are responsible for your project mates' grades as well. Of course, I have to continue doing my part as per normal."
His parents are learning to accept the implications of his alleged actions, such as the possibility that his MOE scholarship will be revoked.
"What's done is done," said Kwok.
He is currently out on police bail. The police said that investigations are ongoing.
On Feb 16, the victim was said to have been walking on a lower level of the sprawling five-storey Kent Ridge Campus' Central Library when she saw Kwok walking towards her.
She realised that something was amiss only when he got near. She saw him not only exposing himself to her, but also carrying out an obscene act.
The victim sought help from a librarian, who apprehended Kwok in the vicinity after a short search. The police report was lodged the next day.
In earlier replies, MOE and NUS said they were aware of the case.
MOE said that it expects its teaching scholars to conduct themselves in a manner that "upholds the standards of the teaching profession".
The MOE spokesman said: "(We) will take the necessary disciplinary actions against those who have behaved inappropriately."
When contacted yesterday, MOE did not address the possibility of Kwok's scholarship being revoked.
An NUS spokesman said that the well-being of its students is of "utmost importance", and added that the university is assisting the police in the matter.
Late last year, another MOE scholar came under the spotlight for possessing child pornography on his computer while reading history at the University of York in Britain.
Jonathan Wong, 23, was given a suspended six-month sentence by a British court last December and lost his scholarship.
He pleaded guilty to 17 charges of downloading child pornography between July 15, 2008 and March 19 last year.
That same month, National Institute of Education trainee teacher Aaron Kok Chun Cheong was jailed here for having sex with two underage girls he met online a few years ago.
Kok was jailed for 15 months on Dec 28 last year.
If charged and convicted under Section 509 of the Penal Code, Kwok faces a maximum punishment of one year's jail and a fine.

Mum and daughters made healer's sex slaves
A TRADITIONAL healer in Pahang raped three women and their mother under the guise of bringing religious knowledge to them, Berita Harian reported.
The suspect first preyed on the mother, leading her to his house where he allegedly cast a spell on the woman in her 50s before sexually assaulting her.
He then told her he wanted to go to her house to pass on some religious material to her three daughters, in their 20s and 30s.
'The woman, apparently not conscious of what she was doing, followed his every bidding and brought him to her home near Rompin,' district police chief Deputy Supt Johari Jahaya said, adding that the women became his sex slaves since January.
He said initial investigations showed that one of the daughters had been raped at least seven times by the suspect, who is believed to be practising a deviant religious belief. The case came to light when the husband of one of the victims, who works in Johor Baru, went to look for his wife to find out why she had not returned to their home for several months.

Aziz Oman, 27, was convicted of molesting a 19-year-old and a 20-year-old while jogging past them along Pearl Bank and Chin Swee Road on Nov 6 and 8 respectively.
The teen was walking home from Outram Park MRT Station when he touched her private part between 9.30pm and 10pm on Nov 6.
The 20-year-old student testified that she was about to cross Chin Swee Road when Aziz crossed over to her side from the opposite direction and touched her breast.
Both witnesses said Aziz was wearing a black T-shirt and shorts at the time. The younger victim also noticed his white shoes and hair band.
Aziz, who was not represented, denied the molestation. He said he was gay and did not like women and could not have committed the acts in the charges. He could have been jailed for up to two years, fined, caned or received any combination of such punishments.

A THAI couple who had sex in a public park on Sunday evening were each fined $1,000 on Tuesday.
Ngernthaisong Phichet, 36, a construction worker, and his girlfriend, Phloetphrao Somphan, 35, pleaded guilty to committing an obscene act at Harmony Hub along Beach Road at about 11pm.
A magistrate's court heard that an auxiliary policeman was patrolling near Beach Road when he heard sounds coming from the nearby bushes inside Harmony Hub.
He shone the torchlight towards the bushes and found the naked couple having sex.
Somphan was here on a social visit pass.
They could have been jailed for up to three months and/or fined.

Top M'sian 'Opposition leader' caught on sex video
PETALING JAYA - A VIDEO showing a man, resembling a top Opposition leader having sex with a woman, believed to be a foreign prostitute, has emerged.
The 30-minute video, which showed the supposedly high profile Member of Parliament in various compromising positions, is set to rock the Malaysian political arena. The video recorded on Feb 21 was found in a hotel room in Kuala Lumpur.
Press representatives were taken to a hotel room individually to view the video footage by a group of unknown people led by a person, who only wanted to be known as Datuk T.
Datuk T said he wanted the media to watch the footage showing the politician before sending the copy to him and his wife 'to identify the person in the video' a week from now. He said if the individual in the video was the politician he had identfied to the media, "then he and his wife must step down from politics.'
Datuk T said saying he was not 'the pious person with high moral values and integrity as portrayed, and therefore is not fit to be leader.' Datuk T said if the two did not quit politics, 'I will call on several NGOs (non-government organisations) to set up an independent panel to investigate and seek professional forensic services to study the authenticity of the recordings.'
Datuk T claimed he had stumbled upon the video after he was asked by the politician to search for his watch in the room where the sexual encounter had taken place.

Vietnam charges 8 teens with gang rape
HANOI - VIETNAMESE state media say police have accused eight teenagers of using the Internet to lure women into Hanoi hotel rooms where they were gang raped and robbed.
The Dan Viet online newspaper says the group was led by a 14-year-old girl. It says the girl, her 19-year-old boyfriend and six other boys are charged with gang raping three females aged 15 to 24 in separate incidents over five days last July.
The online newspaper also says they are charged with stealing motorcycles, mobile phones, money and jewellry from the victims.
The paper said on Friday that police have handed the case to prosecutors.

The brute, Gary Gunstone, followed the woman through the streets of North Devon, just after midnight, reported The Daily Mail.
She was walking to her parent’s home after visiting her boyfriend.
The thug threatened her with a knife.
She tried to resist, hitting and kicking him but he was too strong and heavy and overpowered her.
The brute dragged her to the ground and raped her in full view of passing drivers.
He later bragged to police that she had agreed to sex there and then.
Judge Jeremy Griggs said, "She was a 30-year-old virgin who had a regular boyfriend for eight years and wished to remain with that status until her wedding night."
The judge said Gunstone had raped the woman just two weeks after his jail licence had expired for a previous sex attack, which had "spine chilling" similarities to this attack.
Gunstone was jailed at Exeter crown court for a minimum of four years and three months as a judge said the parole board would decide if and when he can be released.

Poly student was minor's 12th lover

In November 2008, they went to a staircase landing of a carpark in Serangoon and the accused committed the obscene act. The second offence was committed while they were at a hotel in Sentosa on Feb 1, 2009.
District Judge Low Wee Ping called for a probation report on April 18.
The maximum penalty is a $5,000 fine and two years' jail.

Vietnam jails high school principal in sex scandal
HANOI (Vietnam) - A JUDGE says a Vietnamese high school principal has been sentenced to nine years in prison for having sex with eight students in a high-profile sex scandal.
Presiding Judge Mai Van Hung said on Friday that Sam Duc Xuong was convicted at a one-day trial on Thursday of having sex with students aged 13 to 18.
Most encounters occurred in his office at Viet Lam High School in northern Ha Giang province.
Judge Hung says Xuong paid the school girls and used his power as a principal to force them to have sex with him in exchange for higher grades for a year until September 2009.

British man convicted of pedophilia in Cambodia
PHNOM PENH - A CAMBODIAN court has convicted a British man of sexually abusing two girls and sentenced him to seven years in prison.
Authorities say 38-year-old Matthew Harland was arrested in May last year at the house he rented in the capital, Phnom Penh. He was found to be living with two girls aged 11 and 12.
Phnom Penh Municipal Court judge Kor Vandy convicted Harland Thursday on charges of buying sex from the girls and ordered him to pay each child compensation of two million riel (S$636).

Gay casanova with HIV cheats nearly 200
KUALA LUMPUR - A HIV-POSITIVE gay casanova is believed to have conned nearly 200 young men of their money and valuables besides having sex with them.
So far, 193 youngsters have claimed to be victims of the man with at least 100 saying they had sex with him before they were cheated of money, laptops and other items.
The victims, some teenagers, said the casanova claimed to have fallen in love with them to gain their trust. His conquests were discovered after one victim posted a photo of the man on Facebook, and other victims recognised him.
One, who only wanted to be known as Lee, 24, said he met 'Alvin' through Facebook last August and they soon carried on a relationship.
'He came to my house last month and stayed with me for three days,' said Lee, who lost RM3,000 (S$1,253) when the casanova made off with his laptop, wallet and credit cards. He lodged a report with the Kota Damansara police station.
Another victim, Kor, 22, said he had been conned into sleeping with the man two years ago. 'He said he loved me and wanted me to be his boyfriend,' he said, adding that they had spent a night together in a hotel before the man ran off with the RM400 in Kor's wallet. 'I want him to be stopped before he harms more people,' said Kor, who has yet to get himself tested for HIV.

Man gets jail, caning for molesting daughter
A MAN who molested his 14-year-old daughter more than three years ago was jailed for 18 months and ordered to be given three strokes of the cane on Friday.
The 45-year-old lorry driver pleaded guilty earlier this week to touching the private parts of the girl - who has borderline intelligence - at their Sengkang flat in 2007.
The court heard that one day in 2007, the accused called the victim, now 18, into his bedroom to check whether she was still a virgin. His wife was not at home then.
He told her to keep quiet while he slipped his hand under her track pants and panties.
The offence came to light when the girl told her school teacher what her father had done in March 2010.
The accused could have been jailed for up to two years, fined, caned or received any of the punishments.

Probation called for poly student who was a pimp
A NANYANG Polytechnic student pleaded guilty on Thursday to living on the earnings of three Geylang prostitutes in January this year. Wong Jiong Yang, 18, also admitted to managing a place of assignation, which refers to the contact point for customers seeking the services of the prostitutes.
His sentencing was adjourned till next month for a pre-sentence report to be prepared so that the court can evaluate his suitability for probation.
A district court heard that a police officer attached to the Streetwalker Taskforce arrested three Thai women in a Geylang lodging house on the morning of Jan 24. The women, aged between 22 and 27, admitted they were prostitutes and that Wong was their pimp.
The Singaporean was subsequently arrested and investigations revealed that sometime in December 2010, he was offered a job by someone called Zen through an Internet chatroom.
Wong took up the offer, and the plan was for him to await instructions over the phone every evening. He would be told which alley to got to in the red-light district and solicit for the three prostitutes. Out of the $50 he collected from every customer, he kept $5.
At the end of the shift, which was usually in the early hours of the day, Zen would sent a runner on a motorcycle to collect the takings. As the boss was using an unlisted number, Wong had no means to contact him and had never met him. Neither had the prostitutes.

Indonesian police suspected of gang-raping teen
JAYAPURA (Indonesia) - INDONESIAN police said on Thursday four officers would be charged over the 'unforgivable' gang rape of a 15-year-old girl in Papua province.
The officers, along with three civilians, allegedly took turns raping the girl in a house in Biak city in February, Papua provincial spokesman Wachyono told AFP.
'We have completed our investigations. Some of the suspects confessed to the rape, some didn't,' he said.
'But we have spoken to witnesses and collected enough evidence to show they were guilty of rape and we'll be taking the case to court.' Local media reported that the men locked the teenager in a room and raped her repeatedly over a period of days. She was beaten if she resisted and lost consciousness as a result of the abuse.
'The officers committed a grave wrongdoing, a violation that is unforgivable and uncondonable and deserving of severe punishment. They have sullied the good name of the national police,' Mr Wachyono said.
Police are also investigating the alleged rape of a Papuan women who was forced to give oral sex to officers while she was being held in custody in the Papuan provincial capital of Jayapura.

THE parents of a 21-year-old are worried that their son may become the sex slave of a teacher in her 30s, China Press reported.
The father, 61, showed reporters sexually explicit messages sent by the teacher to his son at a press conference.
He said the teacher had 'persuaded' his son, who is studying at a university in Penang, to run away from home with important documents.

Bridesmaids molested by groom's 'brothers'
NINE bridesmaids were allegedly molested by male companions of the groom who were escorting him to the bride's residence.
This incident occurred in Xinhui, China, in February and the accounts of the victims were posted in an online forum.
The groom's friends, or 'brothers', broke into the bride's room without going through the Chinese customary rites of passing tests set upon them by the bridesmaids.
In Chinese customary weddings, it is tradition for the groom to be escorted by his male companions to 'win' the hand of his bride on the day of the wedding.
He will be stopped at her doorstep by the bridesmaids, or 'sisters', who will be guarding the door.
The sisters will ask for a red packet and the groom, with the help of his brothers, is required to pass all tests before they are allowed to receive the bride.
This is considered an auspicious custom and is practised in Singapore as well.
This shocking incident came to light when a detailed post was submitted on Jinringuanzhu.net, a popular Canton newscast online forum.
The post was written by six of the victims.
According to the victims, the brothers dismissed the traditions, broke into the house and went straight to the bride's room.
The terrified bridesmaids, while hearing them coming into the house, ran into the bathroom and locked the door.
One of them, who was too slow, was pinned to the floor by the brothers. They grabbed her breasts, as well as her private part.
They then broke into the bathroom and molested the girls inside, despite their pleas to ask them to stop.
One of the victims wrote that she screamed for help, but no one came to their rescue.
"The bride and groom, as well as other people were standing around and watching us being molested," wrote the victim.
The posts also reveal that other people, mostly her family, relatives and friends, were at the bride's place, and had witnessed the incident but did nothing to help.
Instead, they continued with the wedding ceremony afterwards, as if nothing happened.
One of the victims wrote: "The bridesmaid's relatives saw us crying and attempted to comfort us by saying, 'It's over now, it's ok'. I felt terrified."
Another victim said that while they were being molested, she heard one of the brother's talking on the phone and telling the other party that he was "there to squeeze breasts".
This daring outrage of modesty is seemingly becoming a common practice in various parts of China, according to some netizens.
One of the netizens who read the article commented that such "practice" has been popular for some time, hence few are willing to be bridesmaids.
Another wrote that she had encountered the same incident in 2009 when attending her cousin's wedding.
"We had around 20 girls in the sister's troop. Those guys came especially to molest us. My cousin's sister is the victim. How awful!" she wrote.
The bridesmaids have lodged a report with the local police and are awaiting further investigation.
According to the victims, the newlyweds told them it was none of their business and even offered to pay them a few hundred yuan to settle the issue out of court.
The bridesmaids rejected the offer and protested angrily: "They treat us as prostitutes!"
The victims are currently appealing to the residents of Xinhui for help.

Teacher held after molest report by 11 students
ELEVEN female students of a secondary school in Ampang, Selangor have lodged police reports against a disciplinary teacher, alleging that he had molested them.
Nanyang Siang Pau, Sin Chew Daily and China Press reported that the teacher had touched the students' chests in the incident last Friday.
China Press reported that police had detained the teacher.
The From Three students, along with two male students were brought to a room for punishment as they had skipped the morning assembly.
Nanyang Siang Pau reported that after the punishment, the teacher took the excuse to check their heartbeats and then touched their chests.
