HARARE, Zimbabwe - Men travelling to Zimbabwe have to be careful not to accept lifts from women.
Zimbabwean police believe there is a syndicate of women who are raping men to 'milk' them for semen to be used in rituals that claim to make people wealthy.
According to a BBC News Africa report, it has taken more than a year for any arrests to be made. Three women are scheduled to face trial in the capital of Harare today over the allegations.
The report said one alleged victim, who requested anonymity, told his story on television in July this year. He said: "One of the women threw water in my face and injected me with something that gave me strong sexual desire.
"They stopped the car and made me have sex with each of them several times, using condoms. When they had finished they left me in the bush totally naked."
He was rescued when some people called the police, who took him to the hospital to mend the effects of the drug, "as the urge to have sex was still there".
The BBC News report added the women were charged in court for aggravated indecent assault since Zimbabwean law did not recognise the act of a woman raping a man.
The women were detained after officers found 31 used condoms in the car that they were travelling in.
The charges were denied by the women who said they were prostitutes and had been too busy to dispose of the condoms.
Police who spoke with the BBC said they believe there is a syndicate operating nationwide.
The semen is believed to be used in rituals to bring success in business, and there are suggestions that they are being taken outside of the country for sale.
A cultural and sociology lecturer Claude Mararikei told the BBC it was not clear how the semen would be used.
He said it is in the area of rituals and magic which border on secret societies. And researchers do not want to go into that area as they may not live to come out and publish their findings. AGENCIES

A woman, 48, was walking home to her Ang Mo Kio flat when she saw Hui Sai Mun, 45, standing in the corridor wearing only a lacy black top and matching panties. He was masturbating and smiled at her.
She did not want to pass him so she took a different route to her flat. The 48-year-old housewife then called a neighbour two floors down to complain about Hui's behaviour.

Naked teen molester placed on 2 years' probation
A 15-year-old boy was placed on two years' probation for outraging and insulting the modesty of eight girls, aged from nine to 18 years old. He appeared naked before three of them, touched the buttocks of four victims and exposed himself to a 10-year-old.
All these offences occurred between April and June this year in the Bukit Batok area.
In the Juvenile Court on Thursday, District Judge Edgar Foo ordered the boy to stay in the Boys' Hostel for the first year of probation. After which, he will be allowed to return home but will be supervised by his parents and probation officer.
Other conditions included staying indoors from 9pm to 6am daily and being accompanied by an adult when he goes out. He would also serve 100 hours of community service and undergo psychiatric counselling. His parents had to sign a $2,000 bond each to guarantee their son's good behaviour during the probation period.
Court documents state that he first struck on April 19. An 18-year-old was taking the lift to her flat on the 18th floor at about 7.40pm when he walked in stark naked on the second floor. The teen dashed out and ran down the stairs. She then called her mother who called the police.
He struck again the next day. At 6.35pm, he again walked into the lift on the second floor in his birthday suit. The 16-year-old girl in the lift ignored him but as she got off on the fifth floor, he brushed his hand against her buttocks. The plucky teenager turned around. Blocking the entrance with her body and arms, she asked him what he was trying to do.
He managed to squeeze out and escaped down the stairs.
The flashing incident happened on June 17. By then, police had gathered closed-circuit television video footage of the incidents and were able to arrest the culprit on July 6.

Ex-cleaner jailed 4 years for molesting children
Some of his victims knew him as Uncle Sivam and, despite their tender years, he had no qualms touching them improperly.
On Monday, Satha Sivam Natisam was sentenced to four years in jail. The 49-year-old had pleaded guilty in October to 13 charges of outraging the modesty of four girls, aged between three and 12 years old.
Most of the offences were committed in the Jalan Bukit Merah area between July 2010 and his arrest in February. The single exception was the molest of a 12-year-old girl in Lower Delta Road in March 2006.
He was arrested in February after he had molested a three-year-old toddler. The court issued a gag order on the identity of the girls.
Satha Sivam, who worked as a cleaner until his arrest, had a previous molest conviction. In 1998, he was jailed for nine months.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Toh Puay San said that a long jail term would be in the public interest as Satha Sivam was 'clearly a risk to society'. As he suffers from schizophrenia, she did not press for caning.

Teen and neighbour took turns to have sex with underaged girl
SINGAPORE: A teenager took turns with a 40-year-old neighbour to have sex with an underaged girl in a lorry.
His case came up in Court on Friday and he's expected to be sentenced on 12 December, pending a probation report.
If convicted he could be jailed 10 years, fined or given both.
The case against the 40-year-old neighbour, Hang Tuah Jumaat, will come up for mention in January next year.
The 17-year-old teenager is also the ex-boyfriend of the 13-year-old girl.
The teen and Hang Tuah Jumaat invited the girl for drinks and they were all driven to Kranji Camp between 21 to 22 April in 2010 by Hang Tuah Jumaat.
They had drinks together and the girl became intoxicated and drowsy.
Hang Tuah Jumaat then asked the teen to have sex with the girl, but he declined and went to sleep.
When he woke up, he saw Hang Tuah Jumaat having sex with the girl.
The teen was again told by Hang Tuah Jumaat to have sex with the girl and this time he did.
The Court heard that the girl's eyes were closed and she appeared intoxicated throughout.
Hang Tuah Jumaat drove the teen and the girl back, but left the girl sleeping in the lorry when she complained that she could not get up.
The girl later went to school where she was referred to a counselor, and a police report was made.
On the same day, the teenager was detained in school where he admitted to the offence.
Court documents revealed that he claimed he was high on heroin at the time of the incident and had acted out of fear towards Hang Tuah Jumaat.

Man forces 21 ‘wives’ into prostitution
A 32-YEAR-OLD man married 21 women through fake marriages and forced them to become prostitutes during the past nine years, Utusan Malaysia reported.
The man's “business” came to an end after one of the women was saved by the police.
He was said to have married 18 locals and three women from a neighbouring country after getting fake marriage certificates from a syndicate.
He would then force them to become prostitutes in several states. They would be beaten up if they refused.
It said “Julia” the 18-year-old who was rescued was saved after her sister called the paper to help find her.
Officers from Bukit Aman found her at a rented house in Bahau last Wednesday.
The man was arrested and is expected to be charged under the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act 2007.
The paper also said the man was found to be wearing two talismans said to help him charm the women.
The suspect was released from detention in January after the court found him not guilty in a murder case.

Shipyard worker on trial for murdering prostitute
DNA of the Indian national accused of murdering Roselyn Reyes Pascua was found on nine items in the room the Filipino woman was stabbed to death in March last year.
Testifying on Wednesday, forensic scientist Kee Koh Kheng said that among other objects, the DNA of Bijukumar Remadevi Nair Gopinathan was found was on a 'pink lacy brassiere', on a pair of denim hot pants and the inside of a brown wallet found between the headboard of the bed and the wall.
His blood was also found on a sanitary pad left on the dressing table.
When cross-examined by defence counsel Shashi Nathan, Ms Kee of the Health Sciences Authority said that the DNA of four unknown men had also been detected in two used condoms and among eight pieces of tissue paper found in the room.
Pascua had been beaten before she was died from a stab that pierced her left lung and penetrated her heart. In all, she was stabbed at least 10 times in the chest and abdomen, once in the neck and twice in the vagina.
The body of the 30-year-old, who is believed to have worked as a prostitute, was found lying in a partitioned room at Peony Mansion in Bencoolen Street, in the early hours of March 15 last year. When arrested three days later, Gopinathan, a shipyard worker, had Pascua's mobile phone and some bloodstained notes on him. He says she provoked him and he stabbed her in a fight.
The trial continues.

ZURICH (AFP) - For several years now, Jacques Arnould has been giving disabled people in Switzerland the right to a little tenderness and sexual attention. But for many, his work as a professional 'sexual assistant' treads a thin line between a caring profession and prostitution.
Aged 50 and married with three children, Jacques is one of the rare Swiss assistants to openly speak out about the services he provides. Even in Switzerland, where the job of sexual assistant has had a proper legal status for more than eight years, the subject remains taboo.
A qualified physiotherapist, with a speciality in urinary and gynaecological issues, Jacques says there is 'still a lot of educating to do on this subject' of sexual assistance for the handicapped, which is often misunderstood. 'Disabled people are still people: they have fantasies, expectations, desires and frustrations,' he said.
The job of the sexual assistant to respond to these needs and give people who might otherwise have little chance of being sexually active due to their handicap the opportunity to feel like a normal human being.
Some sexual assistants show a disabled client how to touch and be touched, others bring the person to orgasm. There is usually a lengthy assessment of what a person's needs are and what he can actually physically achieve with his disability before anything physical takes place.
Across town, far away from Zurich's red light districts, Michelle Gut, an elegant masseuse with long blonde hair, greets clients - many of whom are mentally or physically disabled - at her chic and comfortable Andana massage parlour. A masseuse since the 1990s, Michelle went on to qualify for legal status as a sexual assistant to give disabled clients 'the sexual tenderness they are missing'.
'It is not easy to have a normal private life when you are handicapped,' she said. 'Some people just use pornography, others don't know anything about sexuality at all as they have no experience of it.' Only around a dozen people in Switzerland are trained to give this experience. The training is handled by specialist organisations after a rigorous selection process. One of the requirements stipulates that working as an assistant must not be someone's main job, but rather a secondary line of work.
'It is not a profession in itself, you even have to prove that you have a main profession,' explained Catherine Agthe Diserens, a sex educator who trains sexual assistants. She is also president of the Swiss Sexuality and Handicap charity SEHP, which encourages people with disabilities to be sexually active.
Assistance, not prostitution
Sexual assistants can also be found in the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark but in other countries, such as France, the job does not yet have a proper legal status. French disabled rights groups have repeatedly raised the issue in the last year, urging official recognition for sex assistants and, significantly, state funding for their services.
In Switzerland, a sexual assistant has a status similar to that of a prostitute, rather than a carer, since services are paid for and the cost is met entirely by the client.
Michelle charges 162 euros (S$285) an hour for the disabled and 220 euros for able-bodied clients, and offers services ranging from classic massage to 'erogenous zone massage', which equates to masturbation, she said.
Penetration is not allowed though, she added adamantly. 'I have some good contacts who are prostitutes and I know some sexual assistants who will go further so if a client wants more, I put them in touch.' Although prostitutes do receive disabled clients, sexual assistants are better viewed by 'parents and heads of institutions', according to Diserens at the charity SEHP.
The reason, she said, is that handicapped clients may need 'more time and contact' than they get with prostitutes who can be rather 'troubled' by certain disabilities.
Using a recognised sexual assistant removes the awkwardness of the situation for both parties, and often for the family too, noted Arnould.
'Is it acceptable that the mother of a young man with Downs syndrome has to help him masturbate every week?' he asked.
Nevertheless the role continues to be stigmatised as Jacques knows all too well.
'There are some people who disapprove of my work as a sexual assistant and refuse to be treated by me. But others think that the work is good.
'People who stigmatise us should be honest enough to go and find out more about sexual assistance and have some empathy,' he said.

Between March and July in 2009, he allegedly put his hand into the 11-year-old's shorts and tickled his private parts on four occasions.

The woman said she enjoyed being a prostitute as she could satisfy her high sex drive and make money at the same time.
'I realise I am in high demand as the men need not feel responsible if I become pregnant,' she said. She added that she married a man chosen by her family at the age of 14 before her husband left her after a week.
The woman said her daughter was with her every night to ensure no one suspected her late night activities. 'I do not care as long as I have money to put food on the table and buy necessities like milk and diapers,' she said.
The woman said she enjoyed being a prostitute as she could satisfy her high sex drive and make money at the same time.
