HK music producer Lee Ming Ho investigated for rape of TVB actress

HONG KONG: Hong Kong police recently revealed that 32-year-old Hong Kong music producer Lee Ming Ho is under investigation for allegedly raping a 23-year-old actress in his Vi-Max Music Studio at Hong Kong's Tsim Sha Tsui on Monday, reported Hong Kong media.

Lee is currently out on bail and has since denied these accusations.

"I really didn't do it. This whole incident has greatly affected me and my company! I don't know if she (the young actress who accused him of rape) is out to make a name for herself!" Lee told Hong Kong media on Tuesday.

"I don't even know why the police will look for me. Rape is a very serious accusation, if it is true, the police will definitely charge me. How is it possible that I am allowed bail!"

The identity of the young actress, who claimed to have been sexually violated while she was drunk at the music studio, is still a mystery, though senior TVB official Virginia Lok, has confirmed on Wednesday that she is an actress with TVB.

"As a woman, she (the alleged victim) immediately went to the police after meeting with such an incident (her alleged rape).

"I am very supportive of her. It is a very brave thing to do," said Lok, before going on to urge young artistes to share their problems with their colleagues, and not use alcohol as a means of escape.

Lok's revelation has inadvertently put every single TVB actress aged around 23 under suspicion and sparked renewed speculation over the identity of the alleged victim.

Husband 'raped' his bride on their wedding night

A husband raped his bride on their wedding night after returning home from a huge party to celebrate their wedding, a court has heard.

The newly-wed woman told him she did not want to have sex because she was so drunk but he carried on, a jury were told.

He went on to rape her four more times during their two year marriage including on one occasion when she was still in stitches a week after giving birth in a Caesarean operation.

When the bride, now 23, complained he replied: "You're my wife, it's allowed", and after one attack he asked her calmly to go and make him a cup of tea, Exeter Crown Court was told.

The 35 year old man, who now lives in West Cornwall, denies five rapes on the same woman in Bideford, North Devon, between 2009 and 2011.

Richard Crabb, prosecuting, said the couple had been together for five years and had two children before they decided to get married.

They met when she was 16 and there was a 12 year age gap between them. Mr Crabb said: "She was very much in love with him and called him her Prince Charming.

There were rows but they always made up. She says everything altered once they got married. "The first rape was on their wedding night.

One can see the headlines: 'Bride cries rape on her wedding night' – but it is not quite as it seems. "On that day they married in the morning and in the bride's words 'we christened our wedding vows straight away because we wanted to have sex before we got too drunk, so we had consensual sex after the marriage'.

"They then had a party in which they were accompanied by a large group of friends and they went on the mother and father of all pub crawls. "

She became very, very drunk and recalls dancing on a bar doing karaoke at one pub and seeing the sun come up as they walked home.

"She asked him to help her out of her shoes and he became amorous. She told him to stop because she was too drunk but he continued. She was drifting in and out of consciousness and told him to get off her. "He took no notice and had sex with her against her will."

Mr Crabb said the other alleged rapes occurred later in the marriage, including one when she was very heavily pregnant with her third child and another shortly after the birth by caesarean section.

He said: "When she asked him why he had done it he said 'You are my wife. You were lying there asking for it."

Mr Crabb said he had said the same thing after the final two attacks, which took place within days of each other early last year.

After one he said 'You're my wife. It's allowed'. The man told police all the allegations were lies and the only sex he had with his wife was consensual.

He said: "She had made it all up to get me out of her life." The trial continues.

Travolta lawyer debunks sex claim by 3rd man

LOS ANGELES (REUTERS) - John Travolta's lawyer on Friday hit back at 'ridiculous' new claims of sexual advances levelled at the actor by a third man, as a first accuser backtracked on the date of an alleged Beverly Hills incident.
Cruise ship worker Fabian Zanzi claimed on a Chilean TV show, Primer Plano, that the Hollywood star offered him US$12,000 (S$15,000) to have sex while on a cruise in 2009.
It was unclear whether Zanzi had filed a legal action against Travolta, who is already the subject of a sexual assault lawsuit by two unidentified masseurs in Los Angeles.
'This is just another ridiculous claim by someone hopping on the bandwagon to get his 15 minutes of fame with a story about something that supposedly happened over three years ago,' Travolta's lawyer Martin Singer said in a statement on Friday.
'At that time Zanzi's supervisors did not believe him, confined him to his cabin and subsequently fired him, according to media reports. Significantly, we never heard of this guy before. The fact that we are only hearing about him now through tabloid gossip stories three years later speaks volumes,' Singer added.
Meanwhile, the masseur known as John Doe No. 1 who filed the first sexual assault lawsuit against Travolta last week was reported on Friday to have admitted that he got the date wrong of his alleged, unwanted encounter with the actor at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Travolta's lawyers have insisted that the two-time Oscar nominee, who has been married for 20 years to actress Kelly Preston, was in New York City on the day of the alleged incident in California. A restaurant receipt and photos have appeared on celebrity websites to bolster their claims.
Celebrity website RadarOnline.com, quoting unnamed sources close to the case, reported on Friday that the day on which the alleged Beverly Hills assault took place was earlier than the original Jan 16 date stated in the masseur's lawsuit.
The lawyer for John Doe No. 1 on Friday, told Reuters in an e-mail that he no longer represented the masseur, and did not return calls seeking further comment. The new attorney for the plaintiff could not be reached.
A second masseur, also unidentified, joined the US$2 million lawsuit this week, claiming Travolta had touched his genitals and approached him for sex at an Atlanta hotel on Jan 28.
Singer has called all the claims absurd, ridiculous and fictional.
Travolta, 58, is one of Hollywood's most beloved stars after roles in Saturday Night Fever, Grease and Pulp Fiction.
He also gained worldwide sympathy when his autistic son Jett, 16, died after a seizure in 2009.

Man admits boy kidnap and sex abuse

UNITED KINGDOM: A man has admitted kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 10-year-old boy and the separate abduction of a young girl.

The defendant, who cannot be named for legal reasons, entered guilty pleas to a total of five charges when he appeared by video-link at Wolverhampton Crown Court.

The 49-year-old pleaded guilty to kidnapping, falsely imprisoning and sexually assaulting the 10-year-old boy, who was abducted while making his way to a shop in the Oldbury area of the West Midlands last November.

Entering his pleas from HMP Woodhill in Buckinghamshire, he also admitted a further count of kidnap with intent to commit a sexual offence in relation to the boy's disappearance.

The man also pleaded guilty to abducting a 10-year-old girl in the West Midlands last September.

Following today's 40-minute hearing, the defendant was further remanded in custody for sentencing on a date to be fixed.

In a statement issued after the hearing, Detective Chief Inspector Gary Booth, of West Midlands Police, said:
"The offender was arrested and subsequently charged following a large-scale painstaking police investigation into the kidnap of a young lad.

"The boy should only have been gone from home for a matter of minutes but his short journey to the local shop turned into something far more sinister as the defendant abducted him and took him away from safety to a nearby location.

"Thankfully the alarm was raised swiftly and the quick actions of police and the local community meant we were able to return the child to his family without him having suffered significant injury."

Mr Booth added that the incident had a massive impact on the children involved and the wider community.

"We are pleased that these young victims and their families were spared the ordeal of a prolonged court
process and he has admitted his actions," he said.

"We hope all those affected can take comfort from knowing that a dangerous offender is now off the streets."
