A Taiwanese man raped his stepdaughter after his wife refused to have sex with him.
The incident was exposed recently when the wife returned home and saw her husband raping the girl, a Year Five pupil.
She pulled the husband away from the girl and slapped him.
Then she sent the girl and two other younger daughters to a nanny's home, leaving the man and a son at their home in Taipei.
The nanny, who felt the girl was behaving strangely, managed to dig out the real story from her.
She immediately took the girl to lodge a police report.
The father, 38, said he was drunk and thought the girl was his wife.
But it is learnt that he had regularly raped the girl since his wife refused to have sex with him two years ago.
He later cried and said that he regretted the act.
His wife has also demanded a divorce.
