A 25-YEAR-OLD waiter is alleged to have befriended a student to groom her for his sexual pleasure.
Poong Foo Yun, 25, is said to have convinced the 13-year-old to bare and massage her breasts in front of him at her home in the west of Singapore on the night of Sept 4, 2008.
He is believed to have returned the next day to get her to expose her chest again and to insert her finger into her private parts.
About 1.7m tall and rather plump, Poong is also charged for having five obscene films on his laptop.
The maximum sentence for making the teen perform an obscene act is a $5,000 fine and a two-year jail term. In addition, he could be fined up to $10,000 and/or jailed up to 10 years for getting her to penetrate herself. If convicted of sexual grooming, he could face a fine of up to $10,000 and/or a jail sentence of up to three years.
The court ordered that the victim not be named.
