NJ prison worker charged with having sex with inmates, giving them drugs

WOODBRIDGE, N.J. — A woman who works at East Jersey State Prison has been charged with having sex with inmates and giving them drugs.
Joy Black of Irvington was arrested Wednesday and charged with official misconduct, sexual assault and drug distribution.
Black, who worked as a teacher’s assistant at the Woodbridge prison, is being held in the Middlesex County Jail. Bail has not yet been set.
Authorities say Black had sex with inmates in a school area inside the prison between November and June.
She’s also charged with bringing marijuana and cocaine into the prison, and giving it to two inmates.
